The circus

every presidential election year seems to become more and more of a circus among candidates. This year though, it seems some supporters of candidates have joined the circus. Which could make one wonder if the circus of politicians is also representative of the circus of the people.

I've watched numerous speeches and rallies. Some are infiltrated by supporters of other candidates in a belligerent way and even if the candidate remains calm and handles it with respect, there is always douches that yell obscenities and use the middle finger.

Recently I watched a Trump speech (this is also currently on media airways) . A Muslim woman wearing a shirt saying "I come in peace" is merely standing up and not being an interruption. Suddenly people in the crowd point to her to be ejected and start there Trump chant. What pissed me off is that many people were flipping middle fingers. One man actually got in her face as she was leaving going up the stairs, he was beligerant. And as usual Trump reacts in his Trump way.

I would think candidates would be presidential and make a quick speech on not turning on opposers as it sets a negative tone. Or something like that. I just don't see them handling it correctly.

Protests, I understand the notion of asking them to leave. But I think as candidates, they could address protesters by acknowledging there concern in a concise quick manner while also asking them to leave.

I don't think I'm being politically correct here. There is a thing called "tact."

I doubt he's stupid, you don't get to be a multi-billionare with stupidity. He's playing his game, the media is playing theirs. While I may not like the guy, he is playing dirty pool in a room full of dirty pool playing sharks. It's not about the future of our country, it's about sound bites and video clips, both parties do it and it is disgusting, but that's the way it is. Politics has never been in the interest of the populace, never has been, never will be. It's an old, old game of power, money, and control. The real power is held by a small group of people who don't play politics, they buy their politics to ensure they keep and enhance their power. That type of control has been in play since the Roman Empire.

That's true he's mainly done it by exploiting other people.

Every trump rally is like watching a piece of our country die. The latest spectacle was down right disgusting. It's probably not a popular view these days but I think the way that poor woman was treated was about as unamerican as it gets.

what do you mean? women don't need to be at the train station to get harassed here in the United States.

If you read it all. Neither do women in Germany. Better still, the police aren't allowed to do shit about it. Unless the perp is natural born German.

Immigrants get off scott free.

Prepare to rape and be raped. Should be the new welcome mat at the gate.

Sorry but this went right over my head...

Read more, turn the TV off. The world is more than American Politics.

Which BTW, is being influenced more and more by international trolls on social media.

We don't even have cable in our house. All I do is read and never, ever get my news from US Corp media, thank you very much. My first comment had nothing to do with her being a woman. I was more concerned with the way a peaceful protester was treated. I could careless about her religion, gender or race.

Some one paid for the space , the lights, the sound system, and the podium . Protest ....... do it on the sidewalk , a public space or have your own rally . She does not have the right to disrupt ,another's freedom of speech .

Was it really that much of a disruption? Its not like a code pink protest where some hippy jumped on stage covered in fake blood waving a banner, she was just standing there. IMO it was a glimpse into Trumps vision of America, people being hauled off for looking a certain way. That's not the country I want for my kid.

The related story deals with the impact of social justice warriors upon a society. They've made the enforcement of laws, impossible.

Police are told to ignore a certain segment of society, because they don't want the appearance of being racist. Meanwhile, the immigrants are allowed to sexually molest women wholesale.

Then activist get mad, because the women weren't protected. They also get mad, because women were advised not to travel after dark alone.

Meanwhile, other activist (legal citizens) demanding deportation of criminals. Are being arrested and charged with hate crimes.

It's called Anarchy. And it's coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

That's why I'm a firm believer in never relying on the police to protect me or my family. That's a responsibility every American should shoulder themselves.

That's how my wife was when I first met her. It took years of steady indoctrination and my own brand of propaganda to wear her down. Hell, she used to be an anti-gun vegan and now loves a nice bloody steak and has a few of her own firearms. It was hard work but well worth it in the end.
