So I'm looking into getting this mod but I'd like some help on it.

It's a triple series mod so I'd be putting some 30A batteries in there to give me 30 amps to work with. Problem is what ohm range I should be in. I ran it through steamengine thinking somewhere between 0.25-1.0.

My question is, do any of you have experience with device and what ohms do you normally run it at? I would rather hear from you guys than test out 7 different coils to get in the ball park.

I use mine @ +- 0.25-0.8 ohm, mostly on rda. I also played around with different kinds of wire, from regular Kanthal A1, twisted, alien, flat, Ni200, nichrome, titanium & ss, they all seem to be working great. All you have to do is go to escribe and set up accordingly.

It would depend on the topper.
I currently got a Subtank Plus on mine and the coil-head is an O.C.C 0.5 ohm I've been running it at 18 watts which is a bit lower than I normally would run it.This RX200 seems to hit pretty dang hard as normally I'd be running the same tank and coil at 22 - 24 watts on other devices.

Sorry I'm talking about the DNA 200, basically the same though. Thanks.

Guess I'll be learning escribe, see talk about it a lot but don't own a device for it. Thanks your comment is pretty much what I was looking for. I'm assuming you have true 30A batteries, where did you get them and how much they cost you? All I can find are pricy as hell.

If you're asking about the batteries, I got my LGs from a vape fair a while back. Not that expensive comparing to others but that's what you expect from any vape fair. Outside of that, yes they are hatd to find. Oh, and don't believe in what the "stickers" tell you.

You don't list your location, but Samsung 25Rs run about $5 and that's what I use in my RX.
Even that's more than I need, but they're freakin' workhorses and just damn cheap.

EDIT: I forgot... you should not use the Samsungs in the DNA. They're just a fraction shorter and make intermittent contact thanks to the reverse polarity protection rings in the battery sled. MJXOs as well I believe. You want the LGs or Sony VCT 5 or even 4s. /edit

It's a 3 cell regulated so first, resistance doesn't matter and second, at a max of 66w per cell any top shelf 20A battery will do fine. If you prefer a tad more battery life, the 3000mAh LG HG2 is perfect.
Another option... the 2500mAh LG HE4 is fine as well.

As for Escribe... it's a moderately complex bit of software with a generally reviled user interface. :p
But there's a great online tutorial at the Evolve website. Play with it.
It may be regulated but it runs in series correct? After testing in steamengine a .25 coil would exceed 20A batteries by 8...

Escribe doesn't bother me, been working with computer software my whole life.

Ps I order my batteries online since my b&ms charge 14 bucks a battery...

Thanks but I long ago learned that the wraps aren't always true.

It's a regulated mod... the coil resistance does not enter into the formula for amp draw at the battery.

Unlike a mech, a reg mod has an unknown amount of wire and circuit between the battery sled and the atty. That's not a constant, so we can't use it.
The formula is much simpler... Wattage (use max) divided by Battery Voltage (use min) equals Amps.

Series or parallel makes no difference in the end as voltage is doubled in the one and resultant amps split in the other. So 200 watts divided by 9.6 volts (3.2x3) is just under 21 amps, per cell.
That's at max wattage, the most the batteries could ever see. And I don't expect you plan to ride that train all day. :p

See I was looking at it like a mech for safety. Also the place I'll buy from offers a discount on 3 25R batteries but you're sure they won't fit?

If you as much as set it down firmly... they lose contact and the mod turns off.
Ah damn. Guess I'll have to find a place to get 3 batteries for a decent place. I normally go to cloudy collaborations since they sell batteries in sets of two for about 12 bucks.

Another vote for LiIonWarehouse for batteries. They have great prices, quick shipping and they throw in a plastic case for every set you order.

How fast is their shipping for you on average?

Every time I've ordered they have shipped the same day. And not the bullshit same day shipping that places like Wake and Vape pull, printing the label, sending you a tracking then sitting on the package for a week. So around 2 days.

Thanks man. I'll be placing an order from both them and peak vapors tomorrow, fingers crossed I get this baby Saturday. Peak vapors have a shop in my state but it's worth more in gas to get than shipping.

Jon is also quick to answer questions. Every time I've sent an email with a question he's replied within an hour or so.

Unfortunately even though I ordered Friday afternoon they didn't start shipping till Tuesday due to some complications I guess.

Right after I placed the order on Friday I realized I had the wrong zip so I sent in an email and they fixed it Tuesday. So I'm a bit upset but hey, shit happens and it was my mistake in the first place. Just wondering what happened with the order on Saturday, apparently nothing which was disappointing.

Even worse my usps delivery man botched the mod delivery aswell. It required a signature and he never came to my door, with two dogs that bark at everything from the window I'm pretty sure I wouldn't miss him. Plus there was no delivery notice left on my door or anywhere. Get the feeling he was lazy and never came to the door, wouldn't surprise me since they fail to scan 70% of my packages.

So I guess I'll be going to the post office to pick it up tomorrow and the batteries will be here Friday, if he doesn't botch that too...

I've been using Samsung 25R's in my Reuleaux DNA200 for more than a week and I've not had any issues (loss of contact). I even tried moving them up and down gently by hand and still no loss of contact. I have the baby blues, not the newer green 25R's if that makes a difference.

Cheers,
Steve

I also have the newest run. My board was programmed on Nov 9, 2015 (mod resistance, case analyzer, etc were done by Wismec). I wonder if it could be the newer runs are a little tighter. Could be the blues are a touch longer. I could also just be lucky (that would be a first lmao). Mine are a tight fit though. I've heard the same thing and was pleasantly surprised that I haven't run into problems. Mine is still only a touch over a week old. I wounder if the C frame tends to separate a bit as it ages (which is probably case)?

Cheers,
Steve

I'd be interested if anybody finds this out aswell, could be nice to know in the future.

Ps: I got 6 vtc 4's, thanks for the lion page it saved me a fortune.
