CUBOID HELP!

So I got my cuboid today from efun. got home and put fresh bats in it and tried to fire it up (note, a bunch of rattle in the fire button), and I can only get it to turn on with the battery door slightly open!

Anyone else experienced this, and if so what is the fix? I hate to have to send this thing back to china!

edit - so upon closer inspection there was some sticky gunk on the positive connection on the battery door....gunk cleaned off, mod turns on!

So other than a rather rattly fire button it seems good to go!
