@kimber south of Portland, the drive from Portland down 30 through St. Helens to Astoria is an amazing drive. I actually prefer that drive to the others, more visually and less instances of walls of vomit inducing shit smell.
Next time you hit the coast and if you have not the drive down 101 to at least Lincoln city is pretty amazing. DO that about early morning starting in Astoria.
Most places are over built now but still favs are Cannon beach, Pacific city, Depoe Bay and Neskowin outside of Lincoln city. Tillamook for the cheese factory, they used to have one helluva natural history museum not sure since the floods of 96 tho.
The cliff drive and over view is just visually striking, 1200' over look to Nehalim bay.
If you cut down and do the highway 18 route stop off and get Cinnamon rolls the size of dinner plates at camp 18.
We did that the first time I took the current husband out there. Mom drove up from Medford to pick us up at the airport and we did the coast all the way back down. It was awe inspiring fer sure. We stopped so much we ended up having to spend the night halfway down! Astoria yes, Coos Bay,, there's another little tiny town I can't remember the name of.... My Medford uncle always takes us over for a couple nights on the coast. He finds the neatest little mom-n-pop hotels right on the beach... fabulous! If I could talk the hubs into moving,,,,
@j3rian The fuck dude? how on god's green did you do that?
