Innokin MVP 2.0 review
Posted by brian yaeger on 6/29/2014 to Innokin
I have been using the Innokin MVP 2.0 for about 2 months now and I can truly say it has been a great experience. Innokin has really impressed me with newer version of the MVP 2.0. With the updated version including variable voltage, wattage, and a puff counter it is one of the best vaping mods I have used in some time.
Visually not much has changed from the older version of the Innokin MVP. It is almost identical to its predecessor with very similar dimensions. The LED display is still mounted on the side, but the buttons stick out just a little bit more than the Innokin MVP 1.0 .
One thing that did not change is the voltage detection on the battery which shows different colors when the button is pressed to indicate the charge. At full charge the buttons light when pressed will display green; orange when half-full; and red when you need to charge it up again. It also will tell you OHM’s resistance on your coil at the push of a button.
Internally Innokin did not change a whole lot to the MVP 2.0. It still has the same 2600 MAH battery. It also still comes with the same 4 way charger that can be used to connect via USB port, and using pass-through technology can charge your cell phone or other portable devices at the same time as vaping.
I was also impressed that they decided to include the variable wattage, although the button configuration is not as straight forward as I would like to see. The buttons are U and P keys which to the average consumer might be kind off confusing. The P button is used for adjusting wattage U button is for adjusting voltage. It also does not give you the ability to adjust downwards which I would have liked to seen. The voltage adjust in .1 increments and the wattage adjust in .5 increments. You can adjust voltage from 3.3 to 5 volts, and wattage from 6 to 11 watts. It is my opinion that they should have been a bit clearer like adding a + or – sign. FYI (adjusting voltage puts the MVP into variable voltage while adjusting wattage puts it into variable wattage mode.
The Innokin Itaste MVP 2.0 is a great mod and can be generally sold for around 65 dollars retail. I would recommend this mod to anyone being that it comes with an Innokin I30 tank, charger, beauty ring, and instruction manual to get you started. Through my own testing I would say that this mod is definitely worth it for the money due to its reliability factor.
