I've been looking to get a mech as my next mod myself, but here's the thing; you can get just as much power if not more from regulated mods now.
I'm looking at them more for the simplicity of design and the fact that there are no complicated electronics to fail.
But this adds the complexity of building your atomizer to the power of your mod.
If you want enough power to blow clouds that the weatherman talks about, get Wismec's RX200. I don't own one, but I don't think you'll be disappointed, and you won't need to study up like you would with a mechanical.
Just get some good batteries, turn up the power and have fun.
EDIT: you still need to study up on your batteries, though. Play with an ohm's law calculator, compare specs of batteries from LG, Samsung, or Sony.
