request for my ideal mtl 510 tank ???

it took me a while to figure out that I am a mouth-to-lung vaper. it's been much quicker for me to find the market for mtl tanks somewhat limited. I have a knager subtank nano and mini. I kind of like them but both routinely leak on me. I've been searching far and wide for a tank with features ideal for my tastes. please suggest something that will meet these criteria:

no kangers
two of the three kanger tanks I've owned continuously leak on me and are no longer a trusted brand in my mind

capacity of 4ml or more
this seems to be good for a nice long day and also is a good match for my battery life

no rebuildables
I don't want the hassle and chance for error. otherwise a kayfun clone would be the obvious choice

set and forget airflow control
the set screw style afc would be perfect but I cannot find this feature in a tank that meets the other criteria. I do want something that can be handled a lot without the chance of changing this setting

tight airflow
my subtank mini set to the smallest holes is about as airy as I want things. the afc on the nautilus seems really chincy. the nautilus mini seemed better but the tank is too small

stainless steel coils
I've read that stainless has the lowest chance of leeching into the liquid

coil resistance >0.75 & <1.5 ohms
I like to vape at 30W and 1.2 or 1ohm seems to be the sweet spot for me

no really big tanks
22ml is a good width. also nothing really tall

standard drip tip

... I don't mind spending the money
am I asking for too much?

Yes, your asking too much.;) I was going to suggest the regular size Nautilus or Aerotank, but they both have a little smaller capacity than your looking for. Good tanks though.

Good mouth to lung tanks are fewer and further between. That link is a great thread for nothing but these types of tanks. I'm a mouth to lung vaper. I use these tanks:

Goblin Mini (but it's RTA) 3ml
Protank 2 and mini size (but they're Kanger and I've never had a leak) 2.5ml
Eleaf GS (more airy than you probably want, but does have AFC) 3ml
Balrog (great flavor, a bit finicky, and not yet available) 3ml
Delta 2 (made by Joyetech for subohm, but I find it's great for MTL) 5ml
Subtank nano (yet, another Kanger, no leaks) 2.2 ml I think
iJust 2 tank (designed for MTL, but adjustable) 4 or 5ml

Good luck

Some folks like the Kabuki with the 510. I'm a lung hitter so I don't much about MTL, except hearing about the Kabuki being a great tank to that end....good luck with your search

six replies in ten minutes with no valid input is not helping
this is no question how you became a 'gold' contributor
i could not have said it any better...
look into the kabuki or a tank called the pico...i know they are primarily rebuildables but they do take pre made coil heads also

Kabuki is not a rebuildable, it uses Nautilus coils...can't say about the Pico

I was sold on the Kabuki and willing to pluck down $90. I wish the tank was a little bit bigger. also, I've been unable to determine if Nautilus coils use stainless wire

hey jerk, if I saw user names with at symbols I would have figured out you were tagging people. you did no such thing. your fist post was minutes after my original post. it said something about a batman movie, completely unrelated. when I asked what that's about you said you were bumping the thread. if you were tagging users, did it require six separate posts in ten minutes? ftr, calling me a newbie does not hurt my feelings as you intended. I really don't like getting off topic like this because it diminishes my chances of getting my question answered. thanks a lot for using your coveted gold member status to welcome me to this forum

Welcome, bigcheez!

You'll find most f the community quite helpful and a handful who are the opposite. You're right, many of them have a gold rating from innumerable posts which seem to be useless and pointless and often with derogatory remarks but which serve a purpose. These draw attention to themselves. In the same way they love attention, they hate being ignored. If that description sounds like troll behavior, you've got the right picture. May I point out the "IGNORE"feature here at VU? It has worked wonders for me.

I, too, would recommend the Kabuki tank. While it's a spendy piece of hardware, it's built well and would perform in the manner you describe. That specific a list of requirements would logically require a little compromise somewhere and in this case, it's the size but it's a 4 ml tank that measures 22.2 mm and that's damn close!. This item is well worth shopping around for the best deal. If you want tr try a clone to start, FastTech has them from $15 to $23. Orders from them have arrived consistently in seven to 10 days over the past year (they stepped up their game).

You are unlikely to find Ni200 coils in any resistance higher than .05 ohms. Look into the requirements of temperature-controlled coils in general.

It;s great that you know so specifically what you want and whie you may not hit every item on your list, I'm sure you'll endu with something you'll really like!

thx for the forum tips. I do realize some compromising might be needed. I am totally sold on the kabuki except the capacity us actually only 3ml. it's pretty stocky. if only an extended glass and chimney were available. also, I'm actually looking for a stainless steel coil and could not fund that info about the Nautilus coils.

The Crown tanks have stainless, but... definitely not a MTL tank. It's hefty, very good lookin tank, too. I know you don't want an RTA, but if you're set on SS, then you might need to build. I'm sure there are other SS coils available, but mostly catering to the DL tanks.

If you desire 1.0 and up, take a look at the Cubis tank. It has 1.0 SS coil and 1.5 Clapton coil for lower wattage. tank is 3.5ml, and on the smaller side as tanks go.

Oops, sorry, The clones at FT are listed as 4ml so I 'assumed' they were cloning the capacity as well. :)
