Upgrade from Istick 30 to eVic VTC

I'm looking for an upgrade to my current mod, an Istick 30 watt. I use it with a Nautilus Mini but I have another tank that someone gave me and I've never used. I'm wondering whether an eVic VTC would be a good upgrade for me and if the other tank I have can be used on it. It's an original Lemo with a 1.2 ohm coil in it. I have more coils (premade) and know how to change them out. I just don't want something that'll be too difficult to learn to use and that will be a good upgrade.

I can't speak for the comparison of what you currently have.

But I own the VTC & the Mini. I like both of them very much. But if I had to choose between them. The Mini wins hands down.

The VTC will certainly provide you with enough battery life for a full day. But the Mini is smaller, and just easier to carry around IMHO.

You win no matter which you choose. And the Nautilus should work fine on either. I'm just giving my 2 cents.

I have the original VTC. Great battery life and it handles almost all my tanks. Either way with the Mini, or the original VTC, you are good to go.

Thank you both. I thought the VT was the big one and the VTC was the mini. I was thinking of the Mini, the bigger one is just too big for me. Also, would the Lemo tank work alright on it?

I don't see why it wouldn't. But maybe someone else can chime in with experience on that one.

I use a lemo on my full sized one, it works fine. It will work well on the mini also.

That's great, thanks. I won't have the money to buy another tank if I buy the eVic mini so I was hoping this would work.

I have a VTC Mini. I know, that some of my tanks have a slight wobble on this mod. This includes the Kanger Subtank Plus, Lemo 2 (just tested it, can't find my Lemo 1), Zephyrus V1, and the Triton. First time I noticed it with the Triton. And I screwed it on too much, and the mod wouldn't fire. Losening the tank solved the problem. The reason for the slight wobble is that those tanks have a longer 510 connection than others. If you don't mind the possibility of a slight wobble, it's an excellent mod.
The Crown, TFV4, Cthulhu, and Billow V2 won't wobble for sure.

I guess it depends on the mod, my wife has one and uses a subtank mini and a lemo drop, no wobble.

No, i couldn't live with a wobble. I'd be afraid I'd snap it off. :)

I think I'm going to just get the Mini anyway and save for a tank if the Lemo doesn't work. I'm really anxious for an upgrade and don't have a back up yet. I would get the tank that comes with it but I've heard it isn't any good.

Don't let that put you off though... the computer you're using right now had a much higher learning curve. You survived that, right? ;)
I did indeed! Thanks.

Every topper will work on the VTC Mini. However, as mentioned, you might have a slight wobble. I personally can live with it. I just wanted to give you a heads up. But as @Zamazam mentioned, his wife's mod doesn't show that issue. It is possible, that Evic has fixed the problem with newer mods. I love that little rascal anyways.

I've put in my order for the eVic VTC! We'll see how well it gets along with my Lemo. I'm also thinking about the kanger subtank mini but I've read that some have the same issue with fitting flush. Maybe something I just have to live with.

I received my eVic VTC and I'm happy to report that the Lemo fits great. Even holding it up to light not the tiniest gap at all and no movement either. I got a black one to match the black Lemo and they look great together. I may get a shorter drip tip though. This Lemo tip is super long so a shorter one would probably look better. I'm surprised how small this mod is. And, the finish on it is amazing. I'm just starting out with it in power mode right now until I learn all the basics of TC but what an improvement over my other one. I'm very happy with it and the Lemo.

Good to hear, that you like your VTC! :)

If you want to get even more out of it, you might want to upgrade the Firmware of the mod. It's super easy, and quick to do so. There are several videos on the tube, showing how to do it. One thing, I noticed, they don't mention though. When you attach the mod to your PC via the USB cable (at least with a Windows system), the mod has to be turned on.

Very happy to hear that. I have 2 original Lemos, a Lemo Drop and a Lemo 2. All of them work beautifully on my VTC Minis. These tanks rock.

I know just what you're talking about with the tall drip tip. Here's a link to the absolute best drip tip I've ever used on any Lemo (and on a few other tanks). They sell out often, take a long time to ship out and get to you, but for $1.26 it's worth getting a couple. They fit completely flush on the bottom and sides and because they aren't metal they won't get hot on your lips. They're designed to let you use another drip tip on top of them, but many people use them as is.

I think these would be better for her. There's a variety of choices. I prefer the acrylic tips. https://www.fasttech.com/search?Derringer drip tip
And if you do order from here, when you get to shipping options DO NOT CHOOSE SINGAPORE POST!

Another nice looking option, and at 91¢ I added a few colors to the cart. The reason I recommended the insulator base is because of how it fits on the Lemo. It almost makes the top of the tank look like part of the drip tip. It really is the exact same size as the Lemo top. Makes it a lot shorter. Going to have to try the tip you linked though. Might be better.

Edit to add a pic:

Thanks. I'll be sure to check it out and get it upgraded tonight. I didn't know that was an option.

Thanks for the tips on the tips, too. :D Those linked will be a major improvement to the tall, metal tip the Lemo comes with.
CorallineAlgae the eVic in the pic you posted looks really nice with that drip tip. I'll probably get a handful of both types to change them up. I'm real glad I didn't get the tank that came with the eVic and saved ten dollars too. This Lemo is great and I get to practice making coils while saving money not buying premade coils.

Wow.... a lot of stuff on that site!

It's a great website to get some cheaper vape stuff. However, you need to be aware, that shipping takes a while, due to being shipped from China. In addition, pay attention to the availability of the products, it might add to the waiting time.
