I finally got my Bellus to wick like a champ. Sorry if I hijacked the OP's original post, but perhaps this will help OP or someone:
I mainly use 26 Ga Kanthal or SS for the Goliath, and so far that seems to be good for the Bellus, too. Both have tight build decks and anything above a 2.5 ID coil is going to be too tight for my liking. currently I have 26 Ga, 2.5 ID, .3 ohm, dual Kanthal coils. The wicking is different than what I'm used to - I cut the wicks short, so as not to fall below the wick shelf, in the juice channel, then I taper the top of the wick (cut at an angle, from the bottom up) and fluff the hell out of it (think pancake wicking) and after priming, let the lower portion of the wick sit in the juice channel, right at that little ledge (I've heard it called a wick shelf). Also my coils are directly behind the air hole - not too high, not too low. It does like a lot of wick but still not so tight in the coil that it chokes wicking, and no need to comb the wick. What I've found is very similar to Tyler.Burrows.5's technique. It also doesn't leak!
When I pull the deck out, the wick looks crazy as hell, messy, sloppy, all over the place, but it works like steam boat. I don't usually go above 45 watts but I can vape easily at 50 watts whereas before, I was lucky to get 30. It's a much better experience and I'm less inclined to throw it out of a window.
