very few people here knew about my gimp status before magoo disclosed it. I liked it that way, when I first got in the forum world I conducted a social experiment and disclosed with one group and not another. I was treated completely different by the group that knew. When I came here a few already knew and I confided in a few that were also injured in some capacity through a PM.
I was not put in this thing by any fault of my own. And I am quite proud of everything I accomplished in the 4.5 years since I was injured. My wife left me 3 days after the injury, and I spent 6 months in the trauma center. 4.5 years later I had 2 college degrees, one in Electrical Engineering, and, I was counseling other patients and care givers along with giving presentations to students. all of that after someone texting and driving fucked my life up.

For someone to find amusement in that, or think that anyone deserves it, makes them a sick twisted soul. For that same person to find amusement with a person suffering from effects as a result of defending his very freedom to say that crap, is more insulting. Then to flip around and say that its funny for a person to be trying to figure out how to care for his family.... is beyond the pale.

I think it shows how driven you are to accomplish things in life and be someone. I think you are a good person.

Knowing you are somehow "disabled" makes not a bit of matter to me. In other words, I don't give a shit if you are in a chair. I think about the content of your character, not your physical limitations. I'm not hung up on it. You shouldn't be either.

I've spent 1000's of hours monitoring online behavior. Here's the saddest truth I've discovered. The worse offenders, are so called psychiatric professionals and wanna be professionals, when it comes to online bullying and cyber stalking. CalTech and the U.S. Government ran on online study where students and Federal employees trolled the f*** out of FaceBook and Twitter users, trying to influence behavior. Facebook publicly admitted to being complacent in the study. For science and medical research, mind you.

But they never released any numbers publicly. No one wants to hear how a social experiment drove a 15 year old to suicide.

I sleep well at night, because we give guns to certain individuals with psychological problems. I just watched an interview with one of those guys. He's scarey as f***! And I'm glad he's on our side.
