Just received my VF Classic. Out of the box this thing is a beauty. Very nicely done and packaged. Battery door is solid and a welcome addition to the old style. Doing the update as per the VF sites instructions was super easy. Mod performs in TC very well. So far I have vaped it in SS and Ni mode with a Crown tank using Crown coils. Vapes beautifully and feels like a much more expensive mod. Fit and feel are top notch. I just love the way a VF feels in your hand. It's a classy looking mod for sure. My only con and I hope VF does an update to fix it is the screen brightness. It really seems kind of dull. Another very slight annoyance is the placement of the up/down buttons. They are right where you grip the device and even with my limited time with the device it's kind of easy to accidentally hit either button and knock your tempature off by a few degrees. Other than those 2 things I am very happy. Great mod that I highly recommend. I purchased it at http://www.shop12south.com/ so far they have some of the best prices I have seen on VF products. Shipping was fast and free. Got my mod in 2 days.

Nice Jack.

I was tempted but since I already have a Stout on the way I decided to go with the IPV5 for my new dual 18650 mod just to mix it up a bit. I got my Stout from http://www.shop12south.com/ as well , great prices and super quick delivery.

I hear ya on the screen brightness, I saw my friends Stout yesterday which shares the same screen and the IPV5 screen is like a flashlight in comparison. I hope it is something they can fix via software update.

Make sure you let us know what you think about that IPV5. I took a hard look at that mod but I just love the look and feel of the Flask. Plus, I really regretted selling my 50w Flask clone. Now I have the same form factor with 150w. That's a win.

So far I have to say I really like the IPV5 and just got it as I have never had a mod with a Yihi chip so wanted to give it a shot. I had to meet a friend who got a IPV5 as well, we ordered at the same time for the free shipping. We had a RX200 and Stout with us and used my Crown to compare. We both noticed the IPV5 hit it hard right away and even with 2 second drags there was a bunch of clouds. I am thinking the Yihi has a faster ramp up as it was noticeable compared to the other 2 mods we had on hand. I also had my Steam Engine tank but can't really say there was too much of a difference like we noticed on the Crown. I have the Mutank on it right now and it is performing like a champ.

Even though the IPV5 has SS304 TC it worked about the same as my other mods with the Crown and didn't notice much difference using 316 SS coils with the Herk Plus.

Really glad I got the Silver as the pics of the black were not doing it for me. It is really clean and the button are really high end looking and nice and clicky. No rattles and the screen is super bright and recessed which is a nice touch. Battery door is easy to get off and securely in place.

Can't wait until they release the software as it's supposed to give you the option to change what is said on the screen like escribe.

I was a little worried as I have heard some bad things about IPV products but the IPV5 has really impressed me so far. I will probably make a thread on it by this weekend when I have had more time to use it.

For $54 I think it is a steal but if I already had the VF Classic then it is not going to change your life to get one.

Love the Yihi chip. I still use my SX Mini everyday. Still might grab an IPV5 in a month or so.

Do you have, or have you had, an eVic-VTC Mini, for comparison?

Another very slight annoyance is the placement of the up/down buttons. They are right where you grip the device and even with my limited time with the device it's kind of easy to accidentally hit either button and knock your tempature off by a few degrees.
You should be able to lock it in by pressing both buttons simultaneously, I believe?

Thanks for the report. Looking forward to your reports with great interest, as this mod is at the top of my short list.

No, never had a VTC Mini. Yeah you can lock it but I guess my point was you have this big chunk of metal. Why jam all the buttons together? I like the placement of the buttons on the older Flasks better. It's not a big deal just an annoyance that you learn to work with very quickly. So far though I am extremely happy with my purchase and glad I went for the Classic over the Stout.
