I would take up your issue with Wismec.. if possible. It should have protection against anything like that & seems like a problem with the device.. Unless your battery shell was fubar and shorted on something.

Wismec isn't going to cover for user error

Ehh, I'm dumping everything except for a hexohm, dna200 and one Mech. so I really can't say anything

No he crossed terminals. Only thing that could prevent that would be a pcb in the battery itself. And we'll all know we don't use protected cells on 200w mods.

No I wasn't, I'm just saying you arched your battery out by hitting your positive end of the battery on the opposing terminal it would create arching no matter what especially since it wasn't even the same battery housing you hit it off. It would be like taking jumper cables and hitting the positive end on the negative end of a car battery it will arch no matter what.

End if the day Boat, be careful and if you've been drinking when that happened be sober to mess with batteries.

We care and don't want you to become a statistic, safety first. Gotta make sure you're at 100% when messing with batteries.

Gotta be hard to cross terminals, unless one is drunk or impaired I would think, lol

Everytime I handle a li ion cell I treat it with respect and caution. After all it is unstable chemistry just waiting to be released.

I'm on a bad streak lately. This is the 3rd battery I've ducked up with in less then a week's time. ( 2 of the 3 where car batteries at work resulting in a melted pair of jumper cables and the 2nd endless reticule. It was just out tester the 2nd time)

I'm done with this whole issue and I'm probably going to catch shit for this but I'm beyond caring. Buy a mod with a built in battery regardless of what you say you know you truly know nothing. Reading some of the shit I feel as if you fell and hit every fucking branch of the stupid tree. More worried about toys than personal health careless with batteries. Priorities are non existent. You can reply but I don't want to see anymore stupidity so ignore you go and I won't be able to see it anyway. So yeah I take full responsibility for this post and except all repercussions.

Stupid implies unteachable....I seriously doubt this is the case. Careless? Shit luck? Perhaps.

Not an idiot, just gotta be more aware and make sure you know what you're doing.

I always inspect each battery before I put them in the charger or any mod, if it's got even a nick on it I put it in the case and rewrap it.

I do this even after taking them from the charger. They sometimes feel like they get snagged when I pull them out, but so far, they're all good! Gotta respect the batteries. Gotta.

Well now I need batteries again. And I wasn't going to buy anything this week ( I always say that and its almost never true). Am I correct in thinking each device should have its own batteries? And if it needs two they should stay together? I've not owned very many external batt devices but I seem to remember something about that.

Agreed shit happens, bad luck happens and everyone has their moments at some point.

Look it me, I've been professionally cooking for 15yrs and I cut myself still to this day occasionally. Is it because I'm uneducated no, it's I messed up. Held my hand wrong, the table got bumped, whatever I was cutting slid/moved.

You can be a genius and still have stuff happen that could of been prevented.... Shit just happens and no ones perfect.

I've neglected mine lately. Had a pack of 18650 wraps but not sure where they went... and I can't just order battery wraps. That's silly.

My respect comes from dealing with RC batteries, they are lipo batteries and are inside a fireproof woven bag in the basement in a old ammo can...
