How can I mix PG and VG perfect?

Sorry,I'm a beginner of DIY E-JUICE.

When I mix PG and VG then stir them.

But at first they mix for good,few hours later they're seperate!!!!!!!!

Sombody told me that I can add some pure water and I try it

But it doesn't work.....

Is here somebody can help me.... ...?

Separation can happen over time, but normally in just an hour. I would agree and recommend the vigorous shake as mentioned earlier. There will be some air in your bottle if your mixing straight into the bottle. When you shake it up vigorously your see all the little bubbles...not a few...a whole bunch...sometimes warming the liquid under hot tap water also makes it easier to shake the liquid.

Beyond that, when you mix up a fresh new batch a good shake every day is a good thing sometimes two. I admit, I've gotten a little lazy, I shake'em up once a day or every other day. But I've been traveling lately for work and have been occasionally going for 6 days...and havnt seen separation happening.

Which brings up the other point. What flavorings are you using?

Yep, just shake, shake shake your bottle, that'll make it right. Shake your base every time as well as each flavoring. After a while it'll amuse you how you'll shake everything you pick up in the course of the day. Try to spare the carbonated beverages, though.

I use a dremel tool with a plastic stick with the last 1/4 in bent at a 90deg angle. Whips it into a milky froth and will never seperate again. Others use mini eletric milk frothers for similar results.

First, shake the heck out of your flavorings before you use them, then make your mix. Drop the finished bottle in some warm/hot water (no hotter than what comes out of the tap), let it sit in there for a while and shake again every 10 minutes or so until the water cools. The heat will thin the VG and allow your flavors (and extra PG, if you're adding any) to mix better with your VG...and as a bonus you'll kick-start the steeping process.

What brand of PG and VG are you using? If you mix them 50/50 and shake them up, they separate again? None of my juice has ever done that. The flavorings may settle, but the PG/VG always stay mixed after I mix them.

I have already mix PG and VG sucessfully after use drill stir them into just like a bottle of milk

and it was turn back to crystal liquid which didn't seperate too!!!!!

What kind of plastic stick.........?.........Where are you getting them ? and can you get them in large quantity and cheap?

I use my dremel also.......put the 1/8 drill bit it......Use Diamond mixing straws I buy from Meijer cut in half....then slit at 1 end and fold......Attach to drill bit, then froth.....pull off attach another lickety-split.......No cleaning, cheap, quick, efficient......no damage to any bottle whatever I use.....Generally mixing 30 ml batches though......Could use the straw longer for larger mixes.......But always looking for other ideas

Something tells me that the PG might not be Propylene Glycol and /or the VG might not be Glycerin...there is no reason I can think of that would cause them to separate.....other than 1 of them is not what you think....

I agree. Folks, as someone who started off doing the types of things I see y'all doing, take my advice. Stop. Just stop. I've been DIYing for 2 years. I make the average joe kind of DIY that ain't the greatest, but even my nasty juices certainly taste better than a Marlboro.

Ditch the lab equipment, fancy mixers, heat exchangers, turbochargers, swamp coolers, gyroscopes, wind tunnels, x-Ray machines, fluoroscopes, and gazornablatzers...

Buy good quality ingredients, measure your nic and flavorings (relatively) carefully with some plastic syringes, and add your PG and VG with some bigger syringes. If you spent more than $15-$20 on equipment, you've overdone it.

I say that because I now make my juices in less than 3 minutes and no fuss, and they are better than they ever were when I measured to the micro-liter. This is like cooking. The nic can be dangerous, so measure it carefully. I can eyeball 4.5ml of flavor in a 30ml pretty good now. I use 50/50, and I eyeball that too. So what if I get 45/55? Or 12% instead of 15%? Again... better than a cigarette and gone in 4 days. My point is, relax. Don't over stress it. Your juice will be fine.

Oh... if your PG/VG don't stay mixed together... THROW THEM OUT. Something is NOT right.

It is my understanding that whipping and/or frothing injects air into liquids.

Does not injecting air accelerate oxidization of nicotine?

Yes frothing does put air into the mix, however it is a great method to blend your components.......What I do is blend all my components PG VG and flavoring.......froth......allow frothed mixture to turn back into liquid with the cap off......then put in my Nicotine.......then steep as I normally do.......As MD Boater prefers to use syringes for his blending and has devised an efficient way of mixing for himself....I choose to mix by weight.....for me, this is the most efficient, cleanest, and safest way to mix......does have a small learning curve associated with it, but once I was up and running, I would not mix any other way.........Bonus: No syringes or other glassware to clean.....especially when doing recipes with several flavors......

Easy. Duct tape the bottle of juice to the top of the stirrer. Pick up the entire unit. Shake like hell. Put it back on the table. Remove tape. Your juice will be shaken. No electricity required.

While adding your nic. after the froth likely reduces the overall air content, it seems to me you would be still be adding it to an aerated liquid. Perhaps not a big deal at all for a low nic. % juice that's going to be all used in just a few days.

Whatever works for you is fine with me. Heck, I guess I could be racked over the coals by some for not immediately topping off my bottle of nic. with inert gas every time I pour some out.

Since I can use the exercise, I'll just put the completed bottles in my pockets and boogie.
