In your opinion what is the best strawberry flavor out for adding to custard, ice cream, Danish, etc got the closest to the real thing?

Thanks in advance

FA Strawberry is the closest one I've tasted and my favorite, but I've only tried a handful. Lots of people say it's pretty authentic. Then again, there are sooo many strawberries out there. Inawera makes at least three varieties, all of which I've seen people getting excited about.

Can someone tell me what the "shisha" is supposed to mean? I don't mean like another word for "hookah", but want to know what it represents flavor-wise. Back on ECF a few years ago, someone told me they thought it indicated tobacco flavors--or flavors meant to be blended with tobacco. Since then I've seen people us various shishas in bakery and other non-tobacco recipes, so... What is the Inawera Shisha line all about--anybody know?

I have no idea either. I was actually gonna just Google the flavor to find it. Lol. No idea what it tastes like

I really have no idea what it's supposed to mean, in the context of Inawera's Shisha flavors -- there is no tobacco taste in them, that I can tell; I've used the Shisha Strawberry to make my ADV for about 15 months, and I chose it based on the description at bullcityvapor.com -- 'sweet strawberries dipped in sugar' -- that's exactly what it tastes like. I've also tried their Shisha Coconut, and though I didn't really care for it, it doesn't have any tobacco taste either.

The main thing that concerns me though, is that with the TPD thing about to come down in the EU, what will happen to flavors with 'shisha' in the name.

Nice. Strawberries dipped in sugar would be really nice in a custard

That's pretty much the flavor of that strawberry & cream recipe I posted in the other thread -- the DX Bavarian and Vanilla Swirl combo give it a nice custardy background.

I wish I could get ahold of shishi strawberry. However I agree with @Teresa P. Strawberry FA with ripe strawberry tfa is very nice and clean strawberry to start with.

I have and use all three, FA, CAP & TFA. Many people swear by the FA/TFA combo, I'm currently geeking out on a FA/CAP combo. Essentially IMHO, CAP & TFA are similar, TFA has a slightly higher top note and CAP a slightly more artificial candy note. FA is a completely different strawberry than the other two. Very little top note, very soft and creamy flavor. Which, for me, doesn't lend it's self to custards very well, at least alone.

I personally think there isn't a perfect single concentrate that provides a perfect strawberry...bottom to the top or inhale to exhale with SB all over. Then again that is what I am always looking for... specific flavors at the start and end of the vape.

Grrrr. I may have to do a bcv order if ecx doesn't have it in. They haven't had it since November and I'm going to start calling shisha the "sshhh" of the strawberry flavors as we have a sku and picture but sshhhoooosh we won't let you order it.

I have to jump on the Shisha Strawberry bandwagon, just soooooo good. I have almost all the SB flavors out there and use about 4 or 5 regularly but if I had to choose only 1 then Shisha would be it without a second thought.

@Heabob is right on with the INW Raspberry as well, another vibrant fruit flavor from INW which in very small doses like .25 to .50% can help make strawberries pop more in cream or custard mixes.

INW fruit flavors are mostly excellent, there peach is crazy good and I have never liked a peach vape before. There Two Apples is my favorite overall apple followed closely by FA Fuji, there different though, Fuji is a lot stronger and tart were as the Two Apples is sweeter and a little more authentic.
There Cocopilada (Pineapple/Coconut) might as well be called Coconut Crack as I fiend for that flavor even though coconut is low on my favorite fruit flavors.

The only INW fruit flavors that haven't lived up to the rest of them are Orange (weak and a little artificial instead of authentic, good, not great) Wild Strawberry (Insanely strong and smells almost like medicine, weird) Strawberry Kiss (Very Strong, almost like weaker version of Wild but not as mediceny). I have used Strawberry Kiss with some success in a couple of recipes at .50% but not the Wild, tried it only once at .50% and it was all I could taste.

INW regular SB pales in comparison to Shisha as well, it is actually pretty good but gets slapped around once you taste Shisha.

Thx for that; once when I ordered my usual 100ml of the shisha strawberry from e-aromashop, they sent along a 10ml freebie of the regular strawberry; it smells pretty good, but I wondered how good it tastes.

That's good to know about the cocopilada; I'm wild about macaroons, though I didn't really care for their shisha coconut.

Have you tried their Lemon Cake? It smells pretty good; someone told me it's kinda like lemon pound cake, which I like, but haven't yet tried that flavoring -- it was another freebie from e-aromashop.

My bad on the Cocopilada, it is actually a Pineapple Coconut, like one of those drinks you get on the beach that is served in a coconut shell with an umbrella. I was thinking about the Coconut Cookies which is good and there regular Coconut from there Aromat line is good too but I am not a big Coconut fan aside from Cocopilada.

I think I only have the SB from the Shisha line, was thinking about the Shisha Pineapple as I have the Aromat version which is good but not too strong.

I am thinking about getting the Lemon Cake on my next order but so far haven't had a lot of luck with INW bakery and cream flavors. I have the Waffle, Creme Brulee, Gingerbread and Biscuit but have to say I am having a hard time finding the right percentage to make what I smell translate into what I taste. The Waffle smells the most authentic of the 3 waffle flavors I have but have yet to find the right percentage so that it is not too over powering after 3 attempts. The Creme Brulee smells soooo good but so far haven't found the right percentage to get it right, it doesn't taste as good as it smells. It has been frustrating, especially with the Creme Brulee as the smell is so tasty I want to pop off the drip tip and down it like a little whiskey bottle :D I am just going to not think about them for awhile and revisit them later with hopefully a fresh mind on how to use them.

How much shipped to the US is a 100ml bottle of Shisha SB from e-aromashop?

About $5... takes about 2 wks, which I thought was great, from Poland. In fact, the last time, it was just 13 days. I'm just in love with e-aromashop because their price WITH that stupid EU VAT is less than inawera.com's without the stupid VAT. Haven't yet found a way to get any of those EU shops to drop the VAT for non-EU customers.

Andria

ETA: BTW, their Biscuit flavor is good, but VERY strong, overwhelms nearly anything; I think the best way to use it may be to make a 10% pre-mix, and use that instead of the straight flavoring in recipes.

Looks like it would be about $23 with VAT then, about $30 for 120ml at BCV, a little cheaper if you place a big enough order for free shipping. I did order directly from Inawera once when they had a 20% off sale, prices were real good and got the package in about 10 days. I went nuts during the holiday sales though, still have a bunch of flavors I have yet to try.

I like but don't love Biscuit, your right, very strong which makes it tough to work with. Good idea about the pre-mix, I have to try that.

I did mix up some INW classic bubble gum last night with about 4 or 5 other flavors, bubble gum might be one of my new favorite flavors. It was surprisingly real good as a shake and vape, I hope it stays at least that good or better as it steeps. I am thinking just bubble gum and shisha SB might make for a winning combo, going to try that tonight when I get home. I also have the Donald and Purple gum flavors from INW but they don't smell as good as the classic bubble gum which also tastes great, going to have to make sample bottles of those 2.

Just ordered a 100 ml bottle of shisha strawberry, and a sample 10 ml of their mango. Here's hoping it's good.

Thanks

1 to 2% on the INW Bakery flavors. The Biscuit is my favorite at 1%. I'm loving the Lemon Cake at 2% as I type this. :)
