Custom mods

For my next regulated, box mod (which will be an upgrade of my current Kanger 50 watt) I will be looking to go to at least 120 watts, maybe 150. I'll need it to be able to fire my Crown tank using .5 coils. There are a lot of them on the market to choose from, but where can a guy get a nice "custom" mod? Maybe something where I would even have some input on design, color or personalization like maybe engraving (although I guess I could always get that done after the fact as well). I saw Vapor Lips' site & started to think maybe go with them, but then I've read where quite a few people had to wait months for theirs to be delivered & I'm definitely not up for that.

Anyone recommend someone they've dealt with? TIA.

Never ordered from Vapor Lips but after I saw the owners response to two customers on this forum I think it's safe to say I'll never be a customer either.

And it's a shame as their work looks really nice, but I would want mine BEFORE it's obsolete!

It is a shame. The owner basically ripped into 2 customers here because they were complaining that they were getting the run around. I still don't even know if those people actually got their mods but the owner acted in a real indignant way.

Seems you have to be in secret underground Facebook parties to get anything unique these days, been looking for a cool squonker for 6 months and still on my quest to find something cool that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.....you can check highendmods.net to get an idea of how high they go, but it's an invite only forum......

Not sure if the RGX II is available in hydro dip yet or not so you'd need to ask. But IMO these are some of the best bang for buck mods on the market with the SX350j V2 being one of the most feature rich and reliable boards available. Top it off with Perry from Varitube having exceptional customer service put this at the top of the list for me. [email protected] if you want to contact him for more info.

Not sure if the RGX II is available in hydro dip yet or not so you'd need to ask. But IMO these are some of the best bang for buck mods on the market with the SX350j V2 being one of the most feature rich and reliable boards available. Thanks Vlad. I've been looking at the RX200 quite a bit lately & also the Kanger 120 watt (found an authentic for $30) in case I have go to a mass-produced mod. And it may come to that, as the prices I'm seeing on truly custom rigs are probably going to dictate that.

Yea I ordered an RX200 from fasttech a couple weeks ago for $34.95, just couldn't pass it up for the price. Pretty much anything you see with the word Custom basically means limited production, hand crafted etc.. that will generally cost much more than a mass produced device like the RX or Kanger. There's lot's of decent devices on the market at all different price ranges, it's a buyers market.
