Anyone familiar with this flavor who could suggest a starting point for stand-alone and/or in a recipe as the main note?

I've seen it suggested @ 6-10 drops per 10ml. I tried a while back (Spring 2014) at 3.5%

It was okay, but I was hoping for more balance and lots more rum flavor. (As I like the (burp...pardon me!) drink. :)) I remember it was a little bit high on the coconut in the coconut/pineapple balance for me. While I find INW Pineapple has a very nice aroma, I also find it terribly weak in the flavor department. I added a bit of my favorite stand alone pineapple flavor (from Hangsen) and that helped a bunch.

I tried mixing it again and added 2% INW mango. While I like the INW mango, it's addition did nothing for me in the mix. (Blah) With so many mixing options available, my INW Pina Colada has otherwise been collecting dust.

Just my 2 cents....

I hope you obtain far better enjoyment from it!

Ron

PS Please do not ask me about INW Grape or Whiskey. I'm a bit new here and don't wish to be booted for using foul language.;)

Ron, this is great info--thanks for chiming in! I had kind of a feeling it wasn't going to be a big winner, but mine too is getting a little tacky from sitting around without use, so I'm going to give it a try. I'm so glad I asked, because 2% max means it's quite strong.

I've been trying to get a nice balance of pineapple/coconut using fa pineapple, cap golden pineapple and a couple of coconuts & having a similar issue with the pineapple being a little light. I want it to be present and incisive, but you know, not harsh. (Niether of my two pineapples achieve that on their own--fa is a little too sharp and cap is almost bland. Maybe the INW Pina Colada will be the secret ingredient that smooths things out a little. Anyway, thanks for chiming in & always feel free to curse!

DIY pina colada is my bane. Oddly enough I really liked Vaping zone super concentrate Pina Colada flavoring at 2.5%. Might be worth checking out.

Wish I could say something useful, but both INW and CAP Pina coladas were miserable failures for me...
