I have become tired of external batteries and noticed DNA 200 Mods are 50a if I select the option. The Hcigar VT 200 is on sale and I know there have been issue with older models but I hear the majority of concerns have been addressed. Does anyone think this is worth a try if I can save for another or use my Laisimo L1 until I do. I know the battery life can be extended a little using the eScribe softwareand I don't mind taking a break for a charge up. Is there anything from an owner of a recently purchased Hcigar VT 200 DNA 200 that I should be overly concerned about?

I have an older one, serial # in the 31xx range. Other than the fact I think the battery is actually 1000-1100mah instead of the stated 1300mah, it has been rock solid. I use it on a daily basis and I don't baby my mods. I really, really like all my DNA200 mods. The VT200 is no exception.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I wanted to add, DNA200 mods can be used while charging. The charging pauses when you use it, but you don't have to unplug it.

Fantastic. I have heard many people complain about the spring 510 threading being very loose but those YouTube videos were probably either the very first consumer model or a review only or say a kind of early version, some would say similar to a prototype. I do like how you pointed out that it can be used while charging. I forgot about that feature. I don't mind the battery life since most built in battery DNA 200s have lower or mediocre battery life anyway. Vapor Shark DNA 200 is only 900mah I believe although I might be mistaken. Never a sale less than $10 off a $200 product. The Zip charger isn't included and I also wouldn't feel complete owning that mod without the awesome heavy duty protective case which altogether would set me back almost 265 bucks. Hcigar VT 200 looks like it's better suited for my big hand while retaining a compact ergonomic feel and looks solid and sleek. The Lavabox and others like the SMY don't appeal to me aesthetically at all, even the Whiteout doesn't interest me. The $200 dollar customizable color scheme and optional pocket clip on the Protovapor extended edition with 2600mah or so, which is a few dollars more than the 900mah version, is the only other I would buy except I always buy mods on sale from my handful of reputable sites shipping from the US where I live so as my first choice, being $119.99 and no tax and cheap shipping, I'm going to order the Hcigar VT 200 before noon so it is processed and loaded on the truck for shipping today from Washington state. Silver or blue are my available color options and the silver was my favorite in that device anyway. Thanks so much for sharing. That site never sent me anything defective. My newly self-built Windows 10 Desktop allows me to try these out since I haven't had Windows in years because I mostly think it's good for gaming and Macbook Pros are for basic (for my needs) purposes and are the only apple product worth the price tag. Anyway I'm excited about this so thanks again.

I would take a look at the Protovapor extended edition at Protovapor.com if you are a collector like myself. I probably will end up getting that as well if I like the eScribe software. I'm just sick of using different batteries for different coil resistances and the Protovapor extended version has built in Sony VTC4s not that it matters given the available 50a on the Hcigar and many others. LG HG2 pairs, 6 pairs of authentic VTC4s and a pair of LG HE2s is a nice selection but I'm sick of it all. If you want a sale Laisimo L1, it's around all over the Internet for $79.99 or a few bucks less depending on the site. It's only 2 flaws are a deceiving battery life bar and a tight battery insert but it fires immediately, has a powerful chip and the display plus wattage control during TC is appealing as silly as it sounds, the screen displays your voltage and will impress you regardless of your thoughts on it now. For under 80 bucks online or just 80 bucks, it's a good addition to any collection.

You are welcome, always happy to help.I think Ecig.com also has the black in stock (in Texas) for $119.70 shipped with the coupon code "ILOVEYOU" just in case you prefer that color.

Every mod I own is black so a change of pace would be fine as long as it isn't blue. I preferred the silver since the beginning though but thanks because normally I would prefer black.

If you get a chance, post a follow up when you get it. I really think you are going like it!

Absolutely. I have video reviews in 480p of every mod i buy and post them on Facebook for my knucklehead friends to see but they are slightly too large of files to post in the video review topic category

I'm not skilled in editing and didn't bother buying expensive user friendly software for that though I should.
