So, in my attempts to get more into making my own juice, i bought a gallon bottle of VG... I underestimated how large this would be, and transferring it from the jug, into 30 mil bottles is a pain, Has anyone ever tried using like a pump? i thought about getting one of those pumps they use for like, ketchup and just dumping the VG into a (well cleaned) bulk ketchup bottle so i can just pump out the amount i need instead of fussing with a huge jug. Thoughts? tips? what do you do?

Transfer into a Yorker bottle, smaller easier to handle. Or order one of those pump spigots you're talking about.

I've got a gallon bottle of coconut VG, use one of them pumps I bought from Amazon. Works great.

I just pour some into a beaker, and work from that.
You could also use a kitchen measuring cup, with a spout

You under estimate how clumsy i am, i tried to pour milk into my cereal this morning, and id say half the gallon ended up on the table ;-;

I imagine it would be hard to fill a standard 30ml bottle with one of those pumps due to the 1/4 inch top.

I keep some VG in a 240ml bottle with a twist top to fill smaller bottles.
When needed, I refill it from the gallon with a large funnel. A could use a pump here instead of pouring it in a funnel.

Like Robert, I got some nice clear plastic condiment bottles from the grocery store, even Walmart has some cheaper ones. It's easy to fill from my gallon, and use those days to distribute the vg to my bottles on the scale. Works like a charm, and no mess.

Not to high jack but does the coconut VG have any added coconut flavor? I love me some coconut and that would be cool even though my gut tells me it does not.

I was going to mention the ketchup/mustard condiment bottles as well.
I use a few 120 ml LDPEs from Wiz or Bull City (somewhere) but the idea is the same.

If you're buying gallons, you should (maybe?) be to the point where you pre mix several hundred mls of PG/VG/Nic base at a time, for future recipe mixing.

I wouldn't want to be wrestling with a full gallon either. :p

Yup, that's how we lazy efficient people do it. :p

Jeez, what am I doing in two DIY threads in one day?
I just posted elsewhere that I got off my lazy ass and mixed up another 400ml of base which I'd been putting off for a couple of weeks. Took all of ten minutes.

Now to bust out the flavors and have some fun. :D

I make 2 different bases.

Then again, I'm not real picky about exactly hitting my nicotine target. Otherwise it would be more than 2.

I pump right into my 500ml mixing beaker, then after making a batch up, put it in bottles. I use a clear hdpe plastic squeezie lab bottle with a small nozzle to add directly to my smaller bottles when experimenting with a new mix.

Though I'd like to get bigger bottles, I put PG and VG in their own 240ml twist top bottles, and I put my mixed base in one. I used to do like Jim and make a 400ml, but the container I had that in was a pain.

I would normally make 200 and change, but I was down to the last of a 500ml bottle of VG so I just mixed into that. Like I said... lazy.
Oops... efficient, I meant efficient. :p
I just used up the last of a liter bottle to refill my 240. Believe me, I considered it.
