Anyone know much about the new Istick TC 100, firmware upgradeable?

Hi everyone.

I heard through a friend in the UK about the new Istick TC100W, with uprgadeable firmware.
It can run on a single 1860, or a dual 18650 setup.

I am interested in this, as this may just be enough to get Cheyenne on to her first dual battery mod.

100W is plenty for her, and me.

All I wanted to know is, does anyone know much about the device? Is there anything I should watch out for? And I really hope that custom TCR will be available, I will buy the mod first as I want it, let Cheyenne try it out, and if she likes it, she can also get one.

I have never owned an Istick before, so would like to know if there is anything I should watch for, but it seems like a good candidate (If available) for Februarys mod of the month.

Thanks everyone, Conan.

OK-It already has custom TCR, I think this is a definite addition coming :)

I would still like to hear of any potential issues if anyone knows any though.

Thank you all.

I just asked our Eleaf rep about future firmware updates. I'll keep you updated!

Don't charge through the USB if at all possible, that's where you'd probably run into an issue. The 100W non-TC I've heard had this problem, not sure if it's been resolved yet. It's always a good idea to use a separate, dedicated charger anyways. Let us know how you like it once it comes in :D

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know I'm having issues with a brand new Istick 100 TC. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue so I probably just got a bad one. Check out the video.

Cheers,

Hmmm indeed.

I forgot to order one (finally) on Sunday, should I be glad.
Then again... it's been in plenty of hands and this is the first I'm seeing of this issue.

Or any real issue, to be honest.

Have the same exact unit with no issues whatsoever, been working great so far, you simply got a defective one, keep in mind that these new iSticks are manufactured in Joyetech's production line by the same workers that make the Cuboid, Evic VTC and the Wismecs, everything is hand soldered, and assembled, machinery is used only for printing the circuit board, everything else is done manually by human workers so expect some units to be perfect and some other units will be like the one you got, don't waste your time tinkering, just simply get it replaced under warranty and your replacement should work as intended, otherwise it is a great device.

Honestly I always liked the Joyetech products over the eleaf. Even from just reading reviews and watching reviews doesn't ever seem to be a lot of the for the iStick, not saying that there is anything wrong with it because there are no reviews. Put me on the cross and bring out your pitchforks but this is one secondary company I was just kinda skeptical about and that might just be me with my tin-foil hat on too hard..lol. Now before you throw me under the bus like I said I'm the last person to say anything like that since I have a Koopor Plus which pretty much is a re-branded Smok product so yah. Although just from what I have read and saw the iStick just didn't have many reviews which made me leary of the product. In addition to that I really like the screen much better on the eVic Mini and the Cuboid over the iStick but once again personal preference. Although all in all it does seem like a manufacturers defect and I hope it all gets worked out for you and you enjoy the mod that you picked because in the end that is all that matter is that you yourself enjoy it. I'd love to hear an update on this and see what Joyetech/Eleaf does for you guys with the mod.

I have the basic. The 30w and the tc 50w. Also got the 100w tc on order. Haven't had a single problem with any of them. Really like passthrough on em and the ease it is to use them. So guy should get it replaced and good point saying these are hand soldered. Bet you if you reall wanted to tinker with it youll find the solder for the fire button has shifted and is probably hitting the up down controls. We all know just how small those pcb boards are. The reason I am saying it is because non of my models will let you do anything while firing.

Yep sounds like the chip went bad during initial burn in.
Happens with all electronic devices sometimes.

It does.

With their production volume though, I'm surprised to see your statement that they don't do a conveyer belt solder bath for the boards. I've never looked at one though. Double sided? Fewer components and cheap labor? Could be a few good reasons for it.

Here is a video showing the entire process of how these devices are manufactured all based on manual labor from start to finish if you are interested

Cool, thanks.
I don't have time for a Busardo vid ATM, maybe later. :p

I'd like to get around to his FA tour first, if at all actually.

I've had mine for almost a month and loving it. I put a crown tank on it with a 1.2 ohm coil and can vape for 3 days (20 ml of juice) at 30 watts with the LG browns. The update to 120w was easy.... I've used it in wattage and TC mode and both work great. Love the fire button!

I have an VTC mini which is great and to be honest the only reason I got the Istick over the Cuboid was the way the fire button works. Having said that I now regret not going for the EVIC because of the screen so I'm sending this one back and going for a cuboid.

I have an Istick 20 and a tc40 and both are still working perfectly ( the Istick 20 is more than a year old and my wife still uses it daily), like I said i probably got a bad one but just though I'd make a short video. Not saying that they are all bad.
