What???!!! Mixed opinions are for when something is even remotely debatable. The Arctic has a different nominal diameter of thread size for the coils than the Atlantis, it's smaller. That means installing an Atlantis coil in an Arctic tank would require using a "big enough hammer". Not the best solution when assembling a container that will contain a liquid. Don't want to believe me? Further proof can be obtained by looking at coils offered by 3rd party manufacturers, like Atom Vapes. Look at the G-Clapton line. They market 1 coil for the Atlantis and Herakles, then an entirely different coil that only fits the Arctic. Why? They obviously didn't want to offer separate coils for the Atlantis and Herakles. But they did for the Arctic, just because? No it's different.
Perhaps the best solution would be for people who don't know, not to offer speculation as fact when a question is posed. And for a second person who admittedly doesn't know because he doesn't have first hand experience with the product not to jump back in with this "mixed opinions" crap.
No reason to get so angry over this. For the record, I'm not trying to get a flame war started, only to offer a different perspective on viewpoints.
I won't argue offering speculation as fact, I am in full agreement with that statement, however, without knowing what that person "knows" (or thinks they know) it could have been something as simple as mis-remembering some bit of information. There are multiple threads that talk about what tanks are compatible with which coils. Keeping it all straight can sometimes get difficult.
As for "mixed opinions", trying to provide useful information, even if it is only second hand, is part of what this forum is all about. If you google it, you will find exactly that, "mixed opinions". Here is one thread from another forum that comes up in the top 5 hits ...
"Aspire Atlantis Coils will fit.
Vapeston Maganus
Freemax Starre
Anyvape Sega Sub Tank
Eleaf Melo
Sense Tech Herakles
Horizon Tech Arctic
Anyvape Sega Tank RBA will fit.
Aspire Atlantis
Vapeston Maganus
Freemax Starre
Horizon Tech Arctic
Modding may or may not be required."
There are quite a few other threads on reddit, FT, etc, that also come up in google searches. So the comment of "mixed opinions" is indeed a true statement. Is there any truth in these references? I don't know, it's like asking if every page on wikipedia is accurate, there is no way to know definitively unless you validate every single one yourself, and no one has time for that. Please note the last line that modding may or may not be required. Passing on this information *may* actually be of value and assistance to others reading this thread. If nothing else, it gives them a place to start their own research into the topic.
