You have to be in joules mode to get to it. Once there, it's in the same "program slot" where you adjust the wire type.
Ni200
Ti01
SS304
SX Pure
Manual TCR
Once there, click the "take a hit" button and you can adjust the TCR from there.

I've found the problem! What you want to do is click the button 5 time, select power mode, change it to joules, F, any temp, then switch the coil from SX Pure to Ni200. Then change your mode back to power, hope this helps :)

I too just received the new IPV5 on Friday. I always lock my resistance and tried all my tanks in Nickel, power mode and SS. In SS it would not fire. It said dry coil even though I do not build my own coils and the tank was full and working great on my Boxer DNA 200. So I called KMG-Imports who you would send all IPVs if yours breaks. They also have an excellent tech team to walk you through any issue. I was told to go into TCR and set my SS coils at .00092 which is for my Raphael & TFV4. The mod started firing excellent. I then switch back to nickel and when I wanted to go back to SS ( which I set in TCR at .00092) again dry coil. So I upped it to .00150 and both tanks fired great. I then went back to nickel to test the mod and it fired great but when I switched back to SS and TCR .00150 again dry coils. So I took someone's advice on this forum and used a cutip with rubbing alcohol and rubbed it around my 510 connector. Unfortunately, that did not work. So I left the tank on for 10 minutes and then lowered the SS .00092 and it barley fired so I raised it to .000150 and its firing great.
Here is my question. Is this Mod I received a dud and should I return it? I am going to call KMG on Monday when they open but I was hoping for some good insight from this group. Do I continue this dance every time I want to switch out of SS and when I come back or does this sound like a big problem which will eventually end with me sending it in to get fixed or a new one? This is why I hate buying brand new mods before they have at least 6 months or more of being on the market to work out all the kinks?

I just got the blue one for a review, no signs of any glitches so far, but I do have to "baby" it until I get some pics taken ... I sure don't want to scratch it or damage it until then ... :)

If it helps any, my "glitch" happens when I switch from "Manual TCR"/joules mode to power mode. On mine, I have to do it like the vid on page 2 of this thread to get above 75W. Not a big deal. I'm pretty easy going and it is what it is until they come up with a firmware update.

Is there a button lock feature? Like for when I put it in my pocket, or do I have to turn it off every time?

I ran the update with no issue on Windows 10. Waiting on batteries to recharge so I can run it through it's paces.

Got the blue ipv 5 from 101vapes Monday, haven't had any issues with it yet(crosses fingers) what's the update for? Any specific details?

I got mine to finally go on my Windows 10 laptop. I always use a user acct for security but for this upgrade I had to log on to the administrator account. To make the file easy to find I made a folder on my desktop. I could not load the file under a user account but was able to under the administrator account. Upgrade takes about 8 seconds and my IPV5 is working just fine like before, will update if I find any glitches but so far it works just like before.

I think it is for the SX Pure tank but hopefully it also fixed the bug were sometimes the up/down buttons freeze. Funny though, my bud got his on the same day from the same shipment and he has never had that problem, it has happened to me about 3 times.

Ok cool, I don't think I'll be getting the ax pure tank anytime soon(don't know if it's even out yet) but it never hurts to have it ready for if that time comes.. So far I haven't really noticed any problems with mine aside from user error lol

Just a guess, but I wonder if the update was also supposed to fix the issue some had with it not going above 75 watts?

Cheers,
Steve

well did the upgrade on my 3 mods....so far not that happy at all! Of the three only one will now work! The other two will not allow me to adjust up/down period....at least before I could pull the batteries once or twice and that would fix this issue. Not sure what to do now, thoughts?

Sorry to hear that. Is there any way to revert back to the original firmware? Maybe you could try to re-download the update and try it again in case it was corrupt (if you haven't already tried that). If all else fails, sounds like the best bet would be to contact the store you got them from and set up a return.

Cheers,
Steve

I reupdated to no avail, not sure about reverting back... After jamming all the buttons in no particular order they responded...hoping this isn't going to be an issue everytime I reinstall batteries, talk about a pita! If they keep acting up I am gonna return to breazy and ecig avenue.... sucks I figured they would have addressed the issues with the new firmware upgrade rather than just making their non-released tank settings improved....

Wow, I am bummed to hear the problems you guys are having and this is unacceptable. I have really enjoyed my IPV5 since receiving it and have said so but this firmware update is ridiculous if it doesn't address the problems people have been having. I have been fortunate that my update has gone well aside from the ridiculous amount of time it took me to finally get it to work. When Joytech/Wismec can get firmware updates out in a timely manner that actually works then whoever is in charge at P4Y needs to fire there software engineers right away.

If anyone from P4Y reads this then get off your ass and make your customers happy, with so many products to choose from the last thing you need is more bad word of mouth. Yihi needs to make note as well, if I understand correctly there a sister co with P4Y. I buy a stupid amount of vape gear like many around here and was considering the new Yihi SX Mini Q Class. If I can expect the same kind of service then F that, not going to pay the high price if I can't expect EXCELLENT customer service.

I had the same problem. I was pressing random buttons and i found out by pressing the power button and up button simultaneously that i was able to finally adjust watts. Try hitting the power button and the UP button at the same time TWICE or until the screen lights up. Once the screen lights up; either press the POWER AND UP button one more time or press the DOWN button to change WATTS. See if that works.

Didn't seem to fix that nor the glitch where it locks wattage and won't let you go up or down.

updating now version 2 apparently, It still works, no noticeable changes, mine did have the 75w glitch, but after i saved a memory slot on 120J in Ti mode, it never came back with battery swapping. Not a real problem for me.

So far no problems with my IPV5 other than that 75 watt glitch which I fixed using the method on page 2. It's a minor annoyance. I get a very quick response when firing. My up/down buttons work fine. I'm used to the menu and eccentricities with IPVs. I vapwe a coil that is .14 on myb D2 and D3 by tricking the mod and going into TI TC. Works fine. I love the IPV products and have four now. Here is my X2 (using a simple 24 guage dual .3 build).

I went to the pioneer4you.com website in hopes of finding a firmware upgrade to my IPV5 because it only goes to 75W. Anyone else have that issue? Suggested corrections?? I contacted the vendor last night but, nothing yet.

The only "fix" I found at P4U was the iPV 5 upgrade software 2.0 version to support the SX pure tank

Mine didn't have the 75 watt glitch, it had a 120 watt glitch. So far, mine is the first I've heard that capped at 120. Other than that, its worked great. Two things that set it apart from my other mods is the TC accuracy and battery life. Vaping at 80watts, I can get nearly a full day and most of the next morning. That's pretty impressive.

That said........

I bought a Cuboid, happily vaping away, just thought I'd pass on the "FUN".........
Its a little cranky with my Crown tank, but that was an easy fix......snug it a bit more than normal, it's all good....

I guess I needed to read book. Will only reach 120 if on ipv pure atomizer ..

So settings need to be set properly.. hope this helps u guys

Don't know if this has been posted before but anyways....

If you have a maximum 75W output, please follow these steps.
Ensure batteries are properly inserted and the iPV 5 is on
Access the Menu and Switch Mode to Joules (J)
Switch Heating Element to Ti01 (Titanium)
Exit Menu and Adjust to 120 J
Reaccess Menu and Revert Back to Power Mode

Has anyone done the IPV5 firmware update? Should I do it or not? Is the graphic thing in this update or is it just for the tank?

I'm sure you fixed it by now, but if you change it to joules mode and change it to Ti01 then change it back to power it will go to 200w

It's been awhile since you posted this, but in case you threw your ipv5 in a drawer and gave up, here your solution to fix the glitch that some of these mods have been shipped with.
