KEEP BURNING COTTON

I have an ohmega series box mod (unregulated) and I keep burning my cotton. I have been having to change the cotton every day and when I do the cotton is burnt under the coils. Ive done 15 wrap 22g, 18 wrap 22g, 15 wrap 24g, 5 wrap claptons.. I've tried it all and still burning cotton. I've been wrapping on 3mm. im building on a phenotypeL

Try some 2 x 28g/36g Fused Claptons (9 Wraps/3mm ID) This is what Im using in my Velocity RDA and in my Diablo RTA and both run great on Series...Just make sure your wicking is fluffy and if your using a RDA keep it wet.

ill have to try that one, is your box regulated?
No, its the Noisy Cricket...which is Unregulated Series. I also have the Lucifer by El Diablo Philippines for my other Series Mod.

When you say burnt, is it just getting some color to it under the coil? Or is it truly burnt and tastes burnt?

The cotton will turn at least brown under the coil and can go towards black if using a sweet and/or custard/cream juice.

Agree, that is a bunch or wraps for a coil.
If you are running high voltage in a series connection and low (corrected) resistance (for a series box) you may just be running too hot of a coil so no matter how you wick it or how wet you keep the wicks, you are burning your wick.

What resistance are your coils coming in at?

Haven't ran series in a while... forgot... higher or lower resistance coil for a series box??

What resistance do you target for your series build?
Much higher lol its 8.4V so shoot for .4-.9 .4 being the lowest you would enjoy as it gets too hot and then becomes a battery safety issue going any lower.

Yeah, I was backwards. Couldn't remember direction but did remember series is putting out some serious voltage so resistance matters.

it might MIGHT be the juice but the cotton gets dirty and under the coils its black. I don't necessarily taste burnt cotton, the vape production sucks, and it tastes harsh.

If your hearing a sizzle after a hit the wicking is to thin. Try having dense wicking maybe it's to thin.
