My good thing for the day. I have my elliptical under my desk, so I can watch a Youtube vid while exercising, and easily keep track of my time. I try to do 10 minutes a day, and I know that's not a lot, but it's an effort to make myself do it. I do usually go over a little bit, to 11 minutes and some seconds.

So today I'm pedaling and pedaling while watching a video, and when I check the time, I'm at 14 minutes 30 seconds.

And I'm not going to eat an extra dessert to offset that.

I seriously did something to behind my knee where the cartliage grew to my artery, or something happened ( I don't have to do anything to swellin and pain anymore) swollen bigger than a golf ball and has made my whole knee swell. Gonna pack it in ice, good time of year for that, hope to see you all tomorrow

Jimi- I am no Dr but I had something called a Baker's Cyst a lump behind my knee. I went to my Dr who gave me Xrays to make sure it wasn't cancer or anything more serious than this Baker's Cyst . I had to rest my knee, use ice and eventually it went away on it's own. Yes so painful.
Here is some info on it, you will want to see your Dr to make sure it isn't anything that is more serious. Sorry you are in such pain my friend!

Ok gonna go lay back down might be back later

That's good Jimi. While you're between garden seasons, rest and ice seem to be best, according to what Snap linked. I cringe when they talk about "aspiration" because that empties the cyst sack, but doesn't get rid of the sack, so it can fill up again, but it says it doesn't fill up as much ever again.

Anyway, it says:

R.I.C.E.: The well-known RICE approach to injuries – Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation – may be helpful. Since stress to the joint can cause inflammation, pausing certain activities and resting your leg gives the tissues time to recuperate. Icing the knee can help to reduce inflammation within the joint, and using a compression bandage, sleeve or wrap has a similar effect (though it could potentially cause discomfort if pressing too tightly on the cyst). Elevating the leg when possible may also help to reduce swelling.

And me too, gotta add the disclaimer: I am not a doctor and I don't play one on the internet. But I really hope you can get past this and recover well. I'll miss you, but will understand if we don't see as much of you on the forum while you're spending down time, with your leg elevated, during the cozy season.

Good afternoon Family
It got so bad yesterday that I called the knee doctor to see when I could get in, about a week and a half, so had Jean help me pile pillows up so I could keep it above my heart and have gone through a bag of ice already but it has helped the pain a ton as long as I don't try to walk on it and that's what I have done, still gonna go to doctor when appt comes whether it is gettin better or not:rolleyes:
Hopin everyone is stayin well and havin a great day;)
