Remember that time we were told the continual poisoning of the population, resulting in never-before-seen levels of chronic disease and kids like my son getting cancer and so on, was going to finally stop with the new administration, Jim?

Well, you can now get “real sugar” Coca-Cola in some places, and some processed cereal companies have “pledged” to remove “some” artificial ingredients “at some point”…

so that’s cool. ;)

Other than that, though, glyphosate and GMOs have gotten a total pass; I don’t really hear anything being done about the thousands of chemicals in all other categories of consumer products…

“we” recently shot down any sort of proposed agreement to start limiting / moving beyond petroleum-based plastics, which have made their way into everything we eat and breathe,…

encouraging further rollout and manmade EMF and not even paying lip service to that one, AND

Still seeing those trails that come out of certain planes criss-crossing the sky, which don’t dissipate and instead spread out to blanket the whole thing

which was never a thing growing up, but now we’re told that it’s always been like that…

but then, on the other hand, sometimes they’ll admit it, and inform us that, of course, we need to spray an array of heavy metals and other unknown agents across the sky, to block out the sun

to save the planet.

There were some great documentaries made on this topic several years ago, but it’s been a long time since anything new has come out on it…

The sky is no longer just nature; it’s becoming a laboratory

Back then, weather modification was limited to specific warzones. But now, scientists and global agencies are researching massive-scale projects with names like:

Stratospheric aerosol injection

Solar geoengineering

These aren’t science fiction. These are serious proposals to spray reflective particles into the sky to “cool the planet” by bouncing sunlight back into space.

What if the ingredients in your groceries were never actually reviewed for safety?​
Most Americans assume that if something is on the shelf, it must be fine to eat. But with 60–70% of our calories now coming from ultra-processed foods, labels increasingly read like chemistry exams—and the truth behind those mysterious ingredients is far more troubling than most people realize.​
It all traces back to one key loophole in the system that’s supposed to keep our food safe: the FDA’s “Generally Recognized as Safe,” or GRAS, designation.

Once intended for everyday kitchen staples like salt, vinegar, and cinnamon, GRAS has ballooned into a self-policing system where food companies can declare new chemicals safe without publishing data, without independent review, and often using experts tied financially to the very companies seeking approval. The result?​
  • Over 10,000 additives allowed in U.S. foods
  • Nearly half were added to our food supply by companies themselves, without FDA review
  • Fewer than 5% tested for long-term safety
  • The average American unknowingly consuming 5–9 pounds of additives every year
Meanwhile, American families are eating lower-quality versions of the same products sold overseas.

From Kraft Mac & Cheese to Kellogg’s cereals, multinational brands routinely strip out dyes, preservatives, and controversial chemicals in Europe, the U.K., and beyond—while leaving them in U.S. versions simply because our regulations allow it.​
Critics argue that we’ve become the dumping ground for the lowest standard food companies can legally sell.

The tide, however, is beginning to turn. Grassroots activism and public outrage are finally cracking open the GRAS system.​
Viral campaigns in 2024 forced companies into the spotlight, and on January 15, 2025, the FDA at last banned Red No. 3—decades after other countries did. Movements like MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) are pushing to bring U.S. food rules closer to Europe’s, revisit GRAS, and eliminate dangerous additives once and for all.

Even so, the major food manufacturers are pushing back, trying to keep the current loopholes and prevent states from making stricter rules.

We’ve seen this battle before—think trans fats. It took 50 years of evidence, activism, and unrelenting pressure to push regulators past industry resistance. Today, we stand at the same crossroads. The question isn’t whether we can have safer, simpler, real food. We already know it’s possible. The real question is: How long will Americans settle for less?

The EPA has approved six new PFAS pesticides: Corteva-Dow-DuPont’s fluazaindolizine (Biden), Syngenta-ChemChina’s cyclobutrifluram and isocycloseram, Bayer-Monsanto’s diflufenican, BASF’s trifludimoxazin, and Sumitomo-Valent’s epyrifenacil (Trump).
PFAS are known as “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down and accumulate in the environment. Farmland is regularly abandoned because of PFAS contamination. That happens when sewage sludge (with PFAS from factory wastewater going down the drain) is used as “fertilizer.”
Spraying PFAS pesticides on food is insane. The impact on human health will be devastating. PFAS chemicals interfere with reproduction, destroy the immune system, and cause birth defects and cancer. Already, 30 million pounds of PFAS pesticides are used in the U.S. annually, according to the Center for Biological Diversity.
If the EPA won’t say no to PFAS pesticides, the only place we can turn is to our local representatives. Make sure your state legislators know about this new threat.

FDA Poised To Kill Proposal That Would Require Asbestos Testing for Cosmetics​

Tom Perkins, The Guardian:
“The Food and Drug Administration is poised to kill a proposed rule that would require testing for toxic asbestos in talc-based cosmetics, a problem that has been linked to cancer. Talc is widely used, including in cosmetics, food, medication and personal care products. The order was signed by health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, leader of the ‘Make America Healthy Again’ (MAHA) movement.
A stated cornerstone of the movement, which helped propel Donald Trump to office, is to help eliminate toxins like asbestos from food, medicine and personal care products. The move has shocked health campaigners.”
It’s hard to understand why we would revoke a rule that simply requires companies to test for asbestos

Ultra-Processed Foods: Time To Put Health Before Profit​

The Lancet reports:

“The rise of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) in human diets is damaging public health, fueling chronic diseases worldwide, and deepening health inequalities. Addressing this challenge requires a unified global response that confronts corporate power and transforms food systems to promote healthier, more sustainable diets, according to a new Lancet Series on UPFs and human health, published on Nov 19.

UPFs are the most processed group of foods in the Nova classification system, which categorizes foods by the extent and purpose of processing. UPFs are identified by the presence of sensory-related additives that enhance the texture, flavor, or appearance of foods. High UPF intake is associated with an increased risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and other conditions. However, the value of the UPF concept is not universally accepted.

Some critics argue that grouping foods that might have nutritional value into the UPF category, including fortified breakfast cereals and flavored yogurts, together with products such as reconstituted meats or sugary drinks, is unhelpful. But UPFs are rarely consumed in isolation.”

Aging Scrambles Brain Proteins – And Diet Could Partly Reverse It​

David Nield, Science Alert:

“As we get older, our brains start to change in ways that make them increasingly vulnerable to disease – and a detailed new study of these changes points to a way some of this wear and tear might be prevented or reversed.

Researchers from the Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute in Germany used mass spectrometry to analyze the balance of brain proteins in both young and old mice, finding differences in a process called ubiquitylation as the animals aged.

Ubiquitylation adds chemical tags to proteins, telling the brain which of these busy molecules are past their peak and should be recycled. In older mouse brains, the ubiquitylation tags really start to pile up on certain proteins.”
