1.42Ω coil max wattage?

This is for a ermmm... Different type of coil. (Nothing illicit but could be used so and thus I have to be vague.) Running it through my box mod. The wires are thicker and get hot as hell before even lighting up red hot. Quarts rods if that helps.

It will depend on what the max voltage your mod will output. For the DNA200 the max watts you could get out of a 1.42ohm coil is around 50w.
I actually vape this same kinda coil (not the same as the one your using) at 50w on a DNA200 without problems.
You say this is for a different type of coil. It would be hard to say without knowing what it is.
