Simpson spoke on an American Crime Story panel at the 2016 summer TV Critics' Association press tour, and afterwards fielded some questions about the Katrina season. He is currently awaiting the first scripts for the new season, and revealed that he is working on it with ACS showrunner Ryan Murphy and executive producer and writer D.V. Devincentis.
