The next Thor movie stands apart from its predecessors because it's not actually a solo superhero adventure. Instead, Thor: Ragnarok will pair the Son of Asgard with Hulk as the two team up to take on the worst foes the galaxy has to offer. That team-up approach is an interesting change of pace for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it could mark the beginning of a trend.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently hinted that the MCU might start to focus more on unexpected pairings between heroes rather than the epic ensemble approach of the Avengers movies.
