The Messengers' plan was revealed in this week's episode, and it is not-surprisingly complicated and kinda screwy. The idea is to actually destroy time and a big part of this involves murdering people like Tommy Crawford who are "Primary." Wait. So if Jim Morrison was primary, does that mean he too was murdered by the Messengers?
The strongest part of "Emergence" was Katerina's journey toward a deeper, more spiritual understanding of time. This wasn't easy for her to do because she had to admit to herself that she wasn't the expert she's always thought she was. Stephen Hawking was actually name-checked twice in the context of our letting go of (or at least moving beyond) what we may think we know about time travel.
