150 or higher watt box mod

Been wanting get a 150 or higher watt box mod to offset all my mechanicals, I'm undecided between the IPV3 or Sigeli 150w and my vape shop is getting them both in on Monday and I don't know which one to invest my money in, just curious as to everyone's thoughts and opinions on the 2 or if you have a different 150 watt box or higher (cuz I need the wattage) you would suggest instead, not too worried about price.

Both are good mods..remember the IVP3 uses screws on the batt cover and the Sig uses magnets ...I think you'll be happy with either one..I have two IPV3's ..they fire my low ohm RDAs' and my Atlantis with no issues at all...

I have a sigelei 150W couldn't be happier with it

magnetic battery door was a huge plus compared to the ipv3 screw on door

It wasn't hard for me to do a magnet swap on IPV3''s...3/16" rare earth magnets from radio shack, and a 3/16" drill bit is all I needed. Took all of 15 mins..

Well I am definitely a much bigger fan of magnetic backs and I know otherwise they're both very similar mods, my current build needs 162 watts technically so I'd be firing these at a full 150 majority of the time

Currently my build is at a .06 on my FUhattan (I know I know not safe) and I'd look to do a similar build on the box
Just so you know my IPV3 won't fire below .1 ohm...don't know about the Sig..

See now that's what I'm afraid of, wondering if a higher wattage mod would fire lower but if anything I'm gunna be building a pure flavor Veritas for the box as well that'll be much higher sub ohm

I run between .2-.3 ohm builds in my dark horse at 85-100w (IPV3) for clouds without it being too hot..crazy clouds though..lol

why not look into a unregulated box mod?

Yeah its hard for me to build high in my Stillare V3, it always comes out low lol but I'll probably rebuild it to around a .15-.17 so the box can handle it

The lowest I went was .12 ohm with a dual parallel 24g build...box fired it but I didn't like it..it was too damn hot!
I learned I didn't have to build so low like I did with my mechs...usually single dual 24g at .2-.3 ohms makes just as big, and not as hot, clouds...VW let's me do things I could only dream about on my mechs..lol

Just remember that sub-ohms were made for mech mods that couldn't adjust their power ... they had to go lower to get higher power outputs. With a high power regulated mod, you no longer have that restriction or requirement. As long as the wire can handle the power and there is enough wicking going on to keep the coils cooled down... a higher ohm coil at higher voltage can give the same style vape that the mechs needed lower ohm and higher amps for.

Yeah see that was my thinking, right now I run triple 24ga coils that come out to .06 and my mech is always hot and so are my coils cuz I really shouldn't be that low so I figured with a box I could be a little higher and have the same result

Cuz then I'm still at the same problem of my batteries not being able to handle my wattage output on the build, I had an unregulated at one point and I liked it but I ended up throwing an atlantis on it and using it for driving purposes etc.

Remember VW batts don't drain like in your mech mods...that said I run the Imren 38A/2600 mAh batts at 80-85w that last all day and then some vaping almost nonstop in my IPV3..dual batts share the load and go a lot longer than they ever did in my mechs..

Yeah but an unregulated box is the same as running a normal mechanical was my point, same power drain and overheat of battery/coils

True....your absolutely right....personally I don't think I would ever own an dual batt (in series) unregulated box mod...too dangerous, for me anyway. Lol

Yeah, I use the Atlantis too when I'm driving...at 35w it's fun blowin huge clouds out the window at a stoplight..people stare in wonderment.. Lol

Lmaoo exactly it's so convenient, used it on my SX Mini too at 35-45w and loved the clouds

Dude, just build a little higher and stfu. This is ridiculous. You don't need that much power. You can't win a cloud competition all day, everyday.

Lol oh? Ok well I enjoy my build, I have multiple attys at all different resistence, including a new one I have yet to build, I don't need the box just for pure power, I want it for many reasons, I have no problem with this build on a mech, I've been running this low for months but thanks for your useless 2 cents
