3 weeks in...

So here I am 3 weeks in to this change, haven't smoked in 3 weeks and really don't want to. I mean obvs the triggers are there sometimes but then I catch a whiff and think again. I have had a minor set back because I'm a dumb ass and ordered the wrong juice and had to make new order. Luckily, I have some to get me through until it comes in, and if i really get desperate to I can hit the shop less than a mile from my house and deal with those turkeys. And now that you are all caught up on what's new my way....My real question is does it ever end? Already, at 3 weeks, I am thinking about what sort of device I should be looking at to upgrade. Don't get me wrong. I love my Endura T18. Its so good to me everyday. However, at this point, I have no back-up. And I think that's a terrible idea when it comes to something that I have grown quite accustomed to having at all times. I mean, when I smoked cigarettes I had back-up lighters for my back-up lighter for my primary lighter. I'm a fucking planner damn it! What am I doing with my life! Anyway I digress. Since I get the strong impression that it never ends, I would love any suggestions on what might be a good next step up, not too fancy, not too technical, easy use and upkeep device for a super busy, slightly ADD, working mother with too damn much to keep up with already. :gaah: lol Thanks for any advice in advance.

The medical term is shiny-itis, Or Golem Symdrome. "Precious!! MY PRECIOUS!!!"

Basically, to save money in the long run, spend a couple extra dollars now and get the most powerful mod you can. (Vs $60 now, $80 4 weeks from now, $90 a month after that.. ) I would say prob 200 to 220 watts would be lots to hold you for a year, depending on if you get into coil building and flavor / cloud chasing. (Clouds are my hobby, which helped me quit smoking... 8 hours building a coil distracted me from cigs. *8 hours because I was really new at building and it took forever. I think that was a dual coil build on a tiny RBA. NOT something I would want to do a 2nd time, but I HAD to do it once. lol*)

Anyway, my suggestion would be a 200 to 220 watt mod so you have power to pick which ever tank or RDA you want to try. Im using dual parallel coils and need the full 200w my box can push. 2 single coils would require less power, but the properties are different. Nothing to worry about now. It's a learn as you go thing.

I run my tank between 27 and 70 watts, depending on the coil I use, and my Drip atomizers between 90 and 200. So just because you have 200w doesn't mean you have to use them.

Most regulated mods are pretty much the same except for power. Not counting the all in ones which are the "Mr Potato Heads" of mods..*play with it a short time then use it to store skittles*

I don't want to get to far ahead of what you want to do, so as you want to do other things, just ask. Others can probably give better recommendations for tanks, since I have only used a kanger toptank mini. (really all i ever needed) but i do use several RDAs.

How's about a second Endura T18? You know you like it, so if your original goes kaput, you needn't worry whether or not you'll be satisfied by a different setup. Once you have that security, then you can experiment with new goodies.

First of all, a huge congratulations on quitting the analogs. T18 is a great first mod. I would like to suggest perhaps the K-Kiss starter kit. Out is very easy to use, just clicking a button to change the wattage at 10w increments up to 50w if I remember right. And a HUGE internal 6300mah battery. Just a suggestion, but I saw a couple of reviews for this thing and it looks amazing.

2 weeks in myself =D As a newer vaper (compared to others on this forum) take my words with a grain of salt but I'll let you know what I'm in the process of. I have a Triton mini that I just love. At 17.5 watts on a 1.2 ohm coil and the air flow all the way open, it mimics the MTL experience of cigs perfect for me. However the drawback is that I have to buy premade coils and unless I dilute I can't use max vg juice (the tank I'm about to bring up solves both of these problems). I also prefer a MTL vape (former smoker hence I vape like a cig) so that limits the tanks I can choose from. I settled on the Siren as it's been very highly regarded as a great tank for MTL'ers who want great flavor. There's a guy named 'Vaping with Vic' on youtube that does reviews of all types of mods and tanks and out of all the tanks he's reviewed (lots!) he thinks the Siren is the best MTL tank on the market (don't think his opinion has changed since the Nov 2016 video below where he said that). Here is a link to the video if you're interested in his review (
). Skip to the later part of the video to get his take on the tank (20:45). That sealed the deal for me. They have a 22 and 25 mm version. I've read reports that the 25 mm version has some type of design flaw making it leak, so for anyone reading this, if you go this route, you may want to stick with the 22 to avoid problems. In addition I read one of the cons of getting the 25 mm is that the middle part of the tank is all open so you can see the coil. This was a con to one reviewer that I saw because it doesn't start to look too pretty in there after a while of vaping. The 22 version thankfully isn't fully open in the middle. So getting this version avoids that one reviewer's con of the tank.

As for the mod you might want to check out the MVPv4. I decided on getting it because it has an internal battery that you don't ever have to mess with. I think it's great for the new vaper like myself. Just plug it in and charge (full charge in an hour and lasts some people a couple days worth of vaping). The battery life is very very good which was the biggest selling point for me. The mod isn't going to win any beauty contests but it's a brick and will take some abuse from what I've read. Important to note the MVPv4 has amazing Temp control if that's your thing. However it doesn't have TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance). Copied from a post by Shawn.Hoefer on here he said this about TCR: "TCR is a feature that allows you to use non-standard TC wires such as SS430 or NiFe30. If you stick to standard wires such as SS316L, Ni200, or Ti#1 for TC you'll be fine... if you want to use TC at all... might just stick with wattage..". Me personally I just stick with wattage and won't be using non-standard TC wires so not having TCR didn't bother me. Few years ago I had the MVP v2 and loved it. You can also use this mod to charge your phone (or ipad etc) which was icing on the cake for me.

The MVP caught my attention again when Leonardo Dicaprio was seen vaping at the Grammys. I was like I wonder what this guy is vaping on. Turned out it was an MVP (not sure what version) and I think some kind of Kangertech tank. Looked into MVP as I was starting to vape again and to my surprise they had released a newer version (MVPv4). Good enough for Leo, good enough for me =D Good luck in your search!

Edit: If anyone decides to get the Siren make sure it has the air diffuser part. This is a key part that makes this tank so great for MTL. WIthout it, your draw is going to be way more on the airy side. I've seen multiple bad reviews from people that never received this diffuser part with their order. Verify with the company it includes it before you buy. I even saw one reviewer say how the diffuser was in the picture on the sale's page but he never received the actual diffuser. That website was myfreedomsmokes.com so be careful. I buy coils from them at a great price but I wouldn't get the Siren from them after seeing his review. The red arrow points to the air diffuser. It's a little tiny piece of metal with holes in it, that screws into the top of shown item. It can be removed for a more airy vape. Bottom line - Make sure you have this piece!

Have a look at the Smok Alien it's a very popular mid level mod and for good reason will give you all the range you need and holds its own on temp control

I'm looking at the tesla nano 120w myself at the moment very good price point and it's just a work of art! Not gonna be light though it's solid

If you want something that does everything but much better and If you have a bit more money to spend:

One of the YiHi minis you won't regret it one of the best in the market temp control its top notch as well a very accurate high efficiency mod just picked up the mini Q mini myself spectacular mod well impressed with it
...if you really like shiny stuff and have a load of money to spend the YiHi mini G Class! Its thier flagship device

You will also do well with a DNA chip loads of mods out there use them ...have a very large following especially the latest chip set DNA 250 (166 for dual battery) ...look up lost vape and vaporshark for instance

or and FSK chip by Hohmtech now the G2 is fugley but has a huge support from those who own them or they have the "Slice" single battery but again supposed to be very good

The rabbit hole is real lol I'll have one mod at least in each of the categories myself hahaha

Hi and Welcome- I agree with @gakudzu - get another Endura T18 if you love the 1st one so much and its working for you! Yes you should have back ups- when I find mods or tanks I like , I will purchase another! Same with juice- many great sales and I stock up! No way are cigarettes my back up plan!

I also try to buy brands of tanks that use the Aspire Atlantis, Triton, Eleaf Melo and Tobecco coils makes it easier to have multiple tanks that use the same coils, all those coils I listed are the same just manufactured by different companies, I buy when there is a great sale to stock pile!
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/aspire-atlantis-coil-fits.110143/

I just got into RTAs and RDAs- I cheat and buy the Demon Killer coils kits, but have purchased wire to build my own so I am not as dependent on expensive premade coils.
Do you purchase online? Are you in the US? Many great online shops and look at their Mod/tank kits and then research on You Tube- watching reviews and demos of gear I am interested helps me with my choices! Easier to watch then have people explain, at least it is for me!
A nice step up would be the asMODus Minikins! I have 2 of the Minikin V1.5 dual battery( 18650 external) which vaping at 25w-30w gets me all day vaping! I am getting the Minikin V2 next! I like the Tobeco Super Tank Mini , nice cheap tank that vapes nice and will take all the coils listed above!
