Hi, new to the forum. Before I post this, I'd like to find out if there is a place to do it. I'm launching my e-juice for $16.99 for 30ml www.SlowFootVapes.com . I just want to find out where to post (awesome juice btw..superior quality, amber glass, child resist dropper, finest ingrediants only, no Diacetyl)).

Best regards,

Chris

Have any proof of the 'No Diacetyl' claim?

Great question Midniteoyl. The answer is yes. I source ingredients from manufacturers that state their ingredients on the label. I read the ingredients on the label and they do not contain Diacetyl. For most educated manufacturers, it is a point of pride to offer a product without anything that may cause harm to their customers, as it is with me.

Personally I think $16.99 for 30ml from an unknown vendor just starting out is a tad pricey. Some of the most established and respected vendors out there charge less than that.

If you would like, there are samples we sell on our website. As a point to note, there are MANY vendors that are selling their product for $20 or more for 30ml. Thanks for the feedback.

Well, as we all know, there have been some flavor suppliers that have stated and listed Diacetyl free that weren't really... Something to look into.

Economy of scale..

I diy and when there was no juice you could just buy off line in my area, I charged 10$ made money and the only reason I carged that was 30 different getting custom mixed juice to their taste was a huge pain in the ass. Do we need another 90% of juice is a rip off thread? Some juices such as the standard mixed to perfection in small batched warrant a 16-20$ price tag. This person clearly stated they buy their mixing supply's, so no extraction ET... jMO take it or leave it. The more you buy the cheaper mixing ingredients cost. The small scale isn't an issue if I could make 8$ or more off my small DIY scale. Just saying.

Iamme, are you asking a question for me to answer?

I am not asking a question and after reading what I wrote again, it came aacross rather harsh. It wasn't meant to be that way. My main point is that all juice is way over priced and the scale of the business only effect the cost of said company at most $1 or so.
People were saying there juice was high and then the fact it is a new smaller company came up. The fact is most these small companies are or start being mixed on kitchen tables. That is how many of the juices that are major brands started. Many of these company's have no more over head than the tap water they clean their measuring devices it.

I was not trying to come across as a dick. I tend to word things in a way that without being face to face make me sound like the biggest ass hole around. That is why I do not like to text people. They will think I am mad over something stupid when it isn't the case. People can charge what they want and that is fine. It is up to the consumer to judge if the quality of the product mates the price.

1123141206c_resized2.jpg iamme, no worries. Here in S Florida "house" juice mixed on the spot goes for $15 for 30ml. It's packaged in a plastic bottle, etc..

I've just recently started this year however, I rent a small space in a warehouse which is my clean room. I spend about 2.5 hours cleaning everything I'm going to use for the production run. All of the amber bottles are rinsed prior to filling, etc, etc. I have 10 years in the beverage industry operations which brings a lot of GMP and QA practices to the table. So, the exception, probably. 1123141206c_resized2.jpg

I hate to beat a dead horse, but sticker shock is an understatement. I love trying new vendors, but I look to spend $10 or so on 50ml from mom and pop outfits. At the moment, you likely don't have the distribution network required to support such a price. IMHO, selling above cost is something that comes after the initial startup. Right now I would encourage you to send out large sample packs to up and coming b&m stores.

Thanks for the feedback. Not to make too lite of this but you may be able to revive that dead horse with the $10 for 50ml product. Do you really know what's in there, where it's produced? Look at my quality page and tell me it's the same as you're getting for $10 made in china. You get what you pay for, be safe.

Well I wouldn't expect 50ml for $10 but Austin81 does have a point about sticker shock. At $17 a bottle (and then I'm sure shipping will be added into that) it does seem a bit high in this competitive market. I will be looking forward to the free sample to see if I think the quality warrants the price.

shipping is included.
Well, from a psychological viewpoint, selling it for $14.99 with $2 shipping would actually reduce the initial sticker shock even though it adds up to the same thing. Just saying.

It's no secret that juice is right at the pinnacle as far as profitability is concerned , thats been known for years , why do you think there are ridiculous amounts of new juice companies exploding all over the place lol.

It's a brutally competitive market to get involved in and everyday it will be even more so . By the way nearly every one of them say their juice is made with only the finest ingredients in the World , haven't seen one that doesn't claim that actually and most also deny the use of unwanted chemicals.

The ones that will be successful will sell their product cheap until they become much more well known , the ones that really do have great juice will also give out thousands of samples and will be rewarded by doing so . Giving out larger size samples is also very smart as people need time to get accustomed to them .

I believe Vista sent out two 15 ml samples for free and Apollo sent out two bottles of 10ml sample bottles to the masses , i only started taking a liking to Vista's juice after my second tank full .

I wish "Slowfoot juice" much success but i think their prices are very high for a company with no following . Some of us really do know what the truth is regarding cost's for this stuff and it's dirt cheap , if you sold 30 ml for $5.00 you would still be doing very well , lets be honest.

Exclusively using FA flavors will up the cost slightly but not by a whole lot . For example "Heathers Heavenly Vapes" has been in business for quite a while and has a huge following , her "Purity line " costs $13.00 for 30 ml .

Killer Juice started by selling 15ml for something like $2.99, got a following, and now they sell the same 15ml for $7.99.

Do you want to really talk about mark up? How about nothing but 30ml of VG for $5.99? lol

http://www.intellicig-usa.com/ECOpure-ECOmix-e-Liquid-30-ml-p/ecovape vg mix e-liquid 30 ml.htm

when you can get 250ml of the exact same thing here for $5.50

The overwhelming majority will never pay that much for juice and the overwhelming majority of e juice manufacturers sell for a hell of a lot less .

It will be interesting to see if "Slowfoots juice " is really as outstanding as he makes it sound , if it is then he is then going to have to find a way to get it out there to as many people as he can to build a customer base .

You will never get a lot of customers by just having a website offering juice and saying it's great , all of them offer that capability.

VH fan. Add the cost of glass amber bottles, child resistant droppers, using capella flavorings, usp kosher vg and usp pg plus the cost of labels, design, cost of incorporation and other fees, some marketing and labor and tell someone they're doing ok at $5.

Let me get a show of hands. Who here would buy a 30ml bottle for 16.99?

I think you're missing the point. You may very well have a point on your end. But your entering an extremely competitive market. The truth is I MAY pay $17 for a bottle of juice, but it would be from a well known vendor with a big line of products for me to choose from and probably even then I'd wait until there was a 20% off coupon code or whatever. I get 30ml bottles of juice from The Vapor Room by waiting until my favorite flavors become their "weekend special" that they offer for $10.

Everybody who starts a business goes through those costs , but when your a startup you have to understand profits are unlikely to happen for quite a while.

You don't add the cost of startup to your juice prices when starting out , you won't get anywhere by doing that . There was a great thread on this awhile back , most vendors said they didn't start turning a profit till their second year .

Most know they lose money while building a base, it takes time but over the long haul things get a lot better if your good.

I use kosher pg and vg. I use caperla flavors and flavor west, which actually cost more. I use cobalt bottles with child proof dropped tops. I could make kick ass flashy labels for 5 cents off my computer. Sorry just playing devil's advocate. ;-)

You should make t shirts for people who order, just saying. It is a new fad I am getting going. I have the vote of the populist behind me on this one. 2015 is the year of the free t-shirt.

I second that. Not trying to ridicule you at all, just trying to give you a consumer's perspective of what I see when I look at your website. I see one juice flavor available, priced as if it is a gourmet flavor even though you're brand new and there's been no word of mouth yet about it, and I'd also add that when I see a company only taking payments through paypal that puts up a red light for me. It suggests you're just working out of your living room and by the way selling juice through paypal is risky but that's another subject.

A flashlight on a keychain , well that would make me a customer for life for sure . I must say though that just seeing something with a companies logo on it doesn't make me buy from them again .

When i used to order juice the vendors would always send cards with 10% off on your next order but i never ordered from them again unless the price was right and i really liked their juice.

A good thing to offer that does work for repeat business is a free bottle of juice with every order over $15.00 , Baker does that and they have a huge following but their juice is also cheap .

Well to be honest I stopped ordering from Epic after getting some crappy items but still, if they HAD lived up to my expectations the keychain flashlight would work as a wonderful reminder to me that they exist.

Even though the juice business is inviting , with the ferocious competition out there it will take some clever thinking to get to the top and stay there . All of them are trying to outdo the other and coming up with ideas .

Look at all the juice companies who were offering 50 to 70% off sales to attract customers around Black Friday , "wow".

Well i stand corrected then , it does make a difference to some people . Are you referring to your memory , like your memory is not as good as it used to be and you would likely forget they existed if you didn't see their name on your keychain , or do you mean when you see their name on your keychain it makes you want to buy from them lol.

Oh never mind i reread your post , i got the answer , so your memory is shot .

I'm worried about "Slowfoot" , hasn't responded in awhile , i hope he's alright . Probably laying on a couch telling the doc he's gone through a traumatic event and doesn't see a need to go on .

I don't know. LOL. I guess I mean, say if I was in the market to get something like a bridgeless atomizer and I was thinking of getting it somewhere else, but then I saw my keychain I might think, hey, these guys are cool, they gave me this keychain, why not buy it from them instead, or something like that.

But I was agreeing with that it has to go hand in hand with quality. I got a drip tip from them that wouldn't fit any of my tanks, it was just loose and always would fall out, and I also got, forget what you call it, it's a cover for a little dripper so that juice doesn't leak all over the place, and when I tried to insert the dripper into it the o-ring popped out of it rendering it useless. So even though I still have the keychain those things won't be forgotten.

Give him some time, maybe he's taking our advise to heart and thinking up a new business strategy.
