I want another box mod. Bought a Reo, and thought it was supposed to be the ultimate. It's nice, but it has a drop well that's always leaking juice. Not good to take out and about. There's a lot of bad chatter on the cloupor chip. So not sure about that.

My wife loves me and is getting me a sigelei 100w plus soon :) I've been doing my homework and it seems like the best option in our price range that hits everything on my personal checklist

I haven't figured out the allure of the high watt boxes yet. Anything over 10 watts, to me, tastes burned. What am I missing.

I kinda agree,i go to about 15 watts max,but I like a warm vape,,,,I hit 30 last week just to see,all it did is burn for me,,,,10 watts works great for me ,good throat hit and good clouds, and to me that's where its at

i just traded off my lemo, im not into the single coil thing, i was running it at 40 watts at one point with a .34 buld in it, the thing is great, i just prefer my duals, i like a nice hot vape

kayfuns i have noticed dont really enjoy high wattage. i just order a ivogo kayfun mini for the wife, i cant wait to screw with that thing

i found that unless your going crazy low, like under .2 with 22gauge, i wouldnt use a mech, your provari goes to 15 correct? i say try for a bit higher than 1.4, like around 1.8-2.0 with 28 gauge

I bought the mini several weeks ago. It's skinny and long, kinda unusual to anything I've used before. Haven't pulled it out if box yet.

Why wouldn't you use a mech unless ohms are under .2 with 22g? I'm currently enjoying a .26ohm with 22g kanthol on my mech. Just curious. Not the greatest in electric knowhow.

I think he was generalizing. Basically, the lower the ohm, the more amps drawn from the battery. If your not drawing enough power, there is no point using a mech. Get familiar with an ohm/watt/amp/volt calculator and it will make more sense.http://www.crownaudio.com/ohms-law.htm
For example, my build is running at .18ohm and my batteries have a max output of 4.2volts. This combination draws 98watts / 23amps

So on a full battery charge (4.2V on my Sony VTC5) around .26ohm I would be running around 68W. So if I were to ever get a box mod, I should try to run this same coil at 68W to make it hit like it does now on my mech?

It depends on the box. If its a single 18650 box, yes.
If its a dual 18650 parallel (both positives up, both negatives down, 4.2volt), you will get better performance. Even though the voltage potential of a parallel box is the same, the internal resistance of the batteries gets cut in half (easier electricity flow). It doesnt double your battery's amp limit like some might think, but it does increase it by around 40%, from what I read.
If its a serial 18650 (stacked via wiring, voltage doubled to 8.4v) you need to go .4ohms and up or it will be waaaaaayyyyy too hot (like catch your cotton on fire hot). This does not double amp limits, though it allows higher ohm builds to draw more power and also halves the internal resistance of your batteries.

I don't need the full wattage - I'm more interested in extended battery life vs the single 18650 in my Xpro bt50. I rarely, if ever, vape above 30watts but I want to be able to just grab one device when I leave in the morning for work and not need to carry extra batteries or worry if I've got a charging cable around.

On both of my boxes, serial and parallel, I get an entire day of battery life. I vape at full power, cloud chuckin, all freakin day. Although, Im not a chain vaper, I take two hits and put it down. Its really not bad, changing batteries once a day.
Oh yea, I just built a box. Lemme take a pic.

My 510 is from a broken ego battery, I milled my center pin with a piece of 8ga solid copper wire, file and drill. Crimped a solid copper collar to connect positive battery contacts to center pin. I made my own copper springs and its one solid piece all the way to the switch, triple shrink wrapped, and it also serves as a battery retainer. Only one solder joint from the switch to the 510 neg connection. I freakin hate solder, so I use as little as possible. The brackets for the positive connections are shelf hangers wich a hole drilled in them, and copper wire fed down through. 12ga solid copper wire I scavenged from my dads basement. The box and lid are from micheals craft store. The switch came from advanced auto (had to file down sides to fit)
It looks sloppy, but thats because it wasnt supposed to be pretty. The connections are solid and the 510 is straight. All copper everywhere. It hits like a train.

Mmmmmm just put a super basic single coil .64 ohm 26g micro coil (wrapped on an 1/8" drill bit) wicked with rayon in my magma. Holy shit, now I actually know why people rave about this thing. I'm tasting flavors in my VapeTree banyan tree that I never knew were there lol just felt like sharing

@Pauly Walnuts for a homemade box, I think that one is badass dude! :D I like it.
Thanks man. Its my second homemade box, and its considerably nicer than the first. The next one will use three batteries and probably a mechanical switch to save space. Its fun, I like building stuff.

i drilled out the cap to just a hair bigger than the new chimney, stuck it in sticking under about 2mm, and used some quick set epoky along the outside and kinda shaped it so it wasnt all sloppy

I'm glad there's a bunch of people here who like to tinker with nonworking mods. Made two piles last night. The good stuff for Pif box, and the stuff that never quite worked right for me. I will label all, so everyone will know the status of the unit. Especially since they will be thoroughly cleaned and in original box.

So, I was having one of those mornings where all I want is a cigarette. It's cold and gross outside and I don't want to be at work! Decided to vape a little 18mg Prime G2 Vazilla in my magma instead..... Holy fucking throat hit batman. Don't want a cig anymore though!
