.5 ohms above dual coil build for Ziggs RDA

So I've been trying builds here and there to suit my vaping style and would run on my RX75 without issues. My sweet spot is 25-30 watts, as I also don't want to drain my battery and try to last for the whole day.

I have 24, 25 and 26 ga Kanthal wire at home, and I prefer a dual coil setup for my RDA.

My current setup is a .21 ohm dual coil 25 ga Kanthal at 6 loops, firing at 30 watts and 2.51 volts. Flavor and clouds are good, but I am not satisfied because it under-powered.

Any suggestions?

Honestly, 2.51v is pretty low. I know you want to make a battery last all day, but I would try bumping it to to at least 40w, maybe even 45w. The only other alternative I can think of is to build closer to 1Ω. The lower the resistance, the more power is needed to fire the coil.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Try dual 10 wraps of your 26g kanthal
I'm running dual 10 wraps of 28g 316ss, .65 ohms @ 20w. Batteries last for ever lol

Yup, 2.51v is really low. Will try bumping to 40w and check the battery drain.

Forgot to mention I wrap them on a 3mm bit and 10 wraps should be .71-74 ohms

Did a dual 10-wrap 26ga Kanthal, clocked in at .65 ohms, vaping it 24 watts at 3.95 volts. Out of the 2 AFC holes on each side, 1 1/4 is closed for a tighter draw. Love it!

Awesome. I still make my odd clapton but have been going back to the simpler 24-28g coils. I find they vape cooler and help the batteries last longer. Right now my mainstay is the basic 28g 10wrap ss coils

I'm glad that you found a good setup to work for you. As long as you are getting everything that you want out of your vape it doesn't matter if you are vaping at 20w or 200w. P.m. a regulated device, I tend to vape from 60-100w, my mom vapes about 16w. It doesn't matter what you are vaping on as long as it keeps you off of the stinkies.

I have the same atty and use regular ole Kanthal in it _ ODD FOR ME
I got it to run on a 50w tube as a doable adv.
my build right now is 26g, 3 mm wraps, which has me at 0.63 I'm firing it at 42w and its running great.
