We recently got to spend a ton of time playing the Titanfall 2 multiplayer technical test that will be coming soon. It’s a snapshot of what the full multiplayer experience is shaping up to be, and from everything we saw, and played, and killed with a big robot, I’m incredibly excited for more.
You can find a whole bunch of footage below, but before you watch it all, here are my five quick takeaways why we’re excited for Titanfall 2 multiplayer.
The original Titanfall’s multiplayer was a lot of fun, but it was also so chaotic it could be exhausting after long sessions. This time around, Respawn Entertainment wants players to feel like they’re anticipating what’s going to happen, instead of just reacting to the chaos all around. For starters, titans are class-based with set abilities so when you see one you know at a glance what it can do. And now the minimap won’t show the exact point you fire from, so if you're shooting an AI you don't just get wiped out the moment after you do it.
