I don't have any extensive knowledge or a lot of actual hands-on use, but I know the 2 main differences are the resistance firing range and the actual physical size. The CM has a smaller footprint and has a nicer finish IMO (not a fan of the glossy look) but a higher firing limit (only down to 0.2 ohm). The GV has a footprint almost twice the size, has the glossy fingerprint magnet finish, but will fire lower (down to 0.1 ohm). I've used the CM and it works great, reads accurately, and just feels nice to use, but I've only seen the GV model, never used, so I have no input on its accuracy or reliability. All in all, the CM Tab is a great product, and at $40, a must have tool for both beginner and advanced builders (If you're gonna have an ohm meter, why not an ohm meter that can dry fire coils too

). Been meaning to pick one up myself, just gotta find a shop with them in stock
