Considering the golden age of television we live in, it's easy for some truly great shows to slip through the cracks. If Outlander falls into that category for you, that's a shame, because it's a series that deserves any genre fan's time.
The series follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) after she is accidentally sent back in time from the 1940s and ends up in the Scottish Highlands in the 18th century. There she finds herself drawn to Highlander Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), and the two are swept away on an adventure that involves time travel, political intrigue, witchcraft, devastating drama and a healthy dose of romance.
