well decided to step out of my coil comfort zone and try a twisted gplat kanthal coil. i have never really had any luck with twisted coils and this one really isnt a exception. the heat up time is sluggish it seems that mixing the two wires brings out the worse in both. but while the heat up time is slow the vapor it produces when it does heat up is insanely dense. when i vape i normally have trouble seeing my computer screen with this cloud i couldnt even see a light where my computer once was. the coil is twisted 26 g kanthal and g plat 7 wraps and while its disappointing i would love to be able to replicate this cloud density with a coil that heats up faster any suggestions?

What did it ohm out to?

Try it with 28 or 30 agw. Ramp up time is due to the amount of wire that needs to be heated.

Try wrapping it in parallel, it'll give you the same surface area with less resistance so it'll heat up faster. Or you could just try making the same coil without the kanthal, that may drop the resistance enough to cut down on ramp up time if you're on a mechanical device
