A question about coils

I recently upgraded to a Smok Alien 220 kit, which comes with one V8 Baby-Q2 Core (0.4 ohm dual coils) and one V8 Baby-T8 Core (0.15 ohm octuple coil). Practically speaking, why would I want to use one over the other. Also, what should I be on the lookout for as far as knowing when to replace the coil head?

Reason, "Clouds Bro".

Those huge coils suck through juice and those that are "Clouds Bro" really love them.

Personally, I enjoy healthy cloud production and every once in a while I get in the mood to be obnoxious and blow obnoxious clouds. But it really isn't my thing, I enjoy flavor with a respectable amount of plumage.

My advice is just to try them out but just stick with what works for you.

Thanks. As I'm mostly at home, I'm not a big cloud-whore. I just want a good flavor (although the clouds do help obscure the stench coming from my 87 year old chimney of a mother-in-law).

I'd just vape the one you enjoy most

There are slight differences in the flavor and warmth of the vape. I don't notice a big difference in the clouds.

How will I know when it needs to be replaced? Will it start making the juice taste funky or something?

It could taste burnt, it could lose flavor, it could taste funky, the cotton could become oversaturated to the point it lets juice seep through causing leakage.
You'll just have to get a feel, or taste, for when to change it.

You'll start getting muted flavor and/or burnt taste. Depends greatly on the juice on how long coils last, really sweet sugary juices, cinnamon flavors and high VG gunks up coils pretty fast. That's when your flavor gets muted then you start getting burnt taste

I'm probably a weirdo but when I first got my Alien kit I bought the T8 coils thinking I'd like them much better, but no, I like the whistley Q2 because of the super airy draw. Yeah I'm def a weirdo, LOL. Not any difference vapor production wise of flavor wise... Just like the Q2. I'm going to try the other coils just to be sure, though.
