i don't think proton was around back when my old e-mail server went the way of the dinosaur. but i've heard about it since. however i no longer need an alternate as i retired.

Yes, you did miss something. I PM'd @Sir Kadly asking him why he stopped posting in here. I was trying to be polite/discreet by doing it privately, well, as everyone is able to see, he didn't answer privately. I guess this is his answer to my question.(?) Was hoping to have a discussion/conversation about his absence in here, but nope didn't go down like I was hoping. Now it is public, unfortunately.

I am doing OK Jimi, nice warm up the last few days here has melted quite a bit of snow. Yay!
Sorry that you are not still feeling well, hopefully soon Spring will be here and you will start feeling better when you can get out in the fresh warm air!

It has warmed up here too, really makes you think spring but seems like we always get a last burst of winter here sometime in march.

I don't care if it's public. If that's all our friendship has meant to Kad, that somebody slips up and gets a little political outside of our private PM thread, he excommunicates us all. In that case our friendship could never have meant as much to him as it did to me. Well so be it. It isn't the first time, nor will it be the last, that someone hurt me, someone I thought I knew but didn't.

For the record, I think it's best to avoid politics in music thread comments, but I don't get a headache when I see it. Really, the music itself can be very political. If you're not a big baby then you take it as it comes, like it if you like it, don't if you don't.

Do all of Kad's friends have to tiptoe on broken glass to avoid being excommunicated by him? Was he never at a party or a holiday table where a political argument broke out? Is his life that insulated that he can't be an adult among other imperfect adults? Does Kad's world have to be a padded playpen that is always to his liking, food without bones or gristle, friends without political leanings, no sharp edges anywhere, no danger, no risk?
