We used to get them for 5.29 a 5 pound bag but yesterday they were 6.99 for that same bag. Funny thing is they came from the USA so no tariff :mad: . But she new I needed them and went ahead and got them there. Then she needed to go to Kroger's (which is usually a lot higher) to get something else she needed and their 5 pound bags were 5.99 still:facepalm:.

I dunno Jimi. Besides the cost of seed, inputs and farm machinery, there are costs of transport to the markets. That is weird that Costco carrots were a dollar more than Kroger.

I think the last thing I would accept as responsibility for the increasing prices of produce is greed in the supply chain. That was Biden talk. Everybody is just trying to survive until President Rump stops with his this way-that way-now this-now that funky dancing, and we get some stability once again.

I guess we're lucky the carrots aren't 15.99 a pound.
