Umm... fair enough (hope nobody minds if we do that once in a while)
Nice music... don't care for the video (although that might actually help me with some circulation issues)
Carry on (when I say that, it's in a positive way... some people thing I'm being negative or sarcastic... should I stop using that phrase?) On another forum (look under my avatar) a very popular and active girl (maybe around 40... I'm over 60) got very offended when I called her "sweetheart" in a post. She took it as "condescending" (I had too look that up) and got very offended... should I also drop that? I was trying to be friend and boy did that backfire. Anyway, these are things I wanted to ask... maybe not the best place to ask but my memory is....... what was I saying? LOL
I'm back already. Bad dinner, vile food, grumpy company. Couldn't wait to get free and come back to my friends, the invisible ones I never see or hear, only read.
There's a lot to reply to in your post, VapeOn1960.
I did some disordered moves in this thread when the thread was disordered from the server fiasco, because posts would jump into the middle into irrelevant space where they made no sense, and might not even be noticed. Once I could see the order of posting was restored, I reverted to respectful adherence to the game rules. I replied to Jimi's "Roller" with "Rumproller". I believed my no-match Kachucha was a match to your no-match Iron Butterfly song.
I do not want 2WhiteWolves to come back and say "WTF has happened to my thread?"
As for the sin of calling someone "sweetheart", I don't think that's so toxic. I believe we should mind our language, to avoid hurting, offending, disrespecting or marginalizing others, but "sweetheart" is a term of endearment or affection which can be used on a male, a female, adult or child. If you didn't use it condescendingly, I see no harm, no foul.
As for the video with Kachucha, it was the better quality Youtube upload of the original recording. The other version I saw was a live performance with a lot of added instruments, more of a big band sound. I prefer the simplicity of the original recording. I like to exercise with that video, especially the moves on one foot, to help me with balance, which I find is getting to be an issue as I get older.
I try to put a like on almost every video here because I appreciate having people play this fun game. Sometimes I don't even like the song, but I like the member playing. There are some artists, though, that I won't put a like on, because of their support of government tyranny or censorship, or other behavior I find unacceptable. I know one of the players really likes Kiss, and some of their music was pretty brilliant, but ever since I heard Gene Simmons say in an interview "I expect all women to greet me with open legs", I find them revolting, and I know that isn't even the fault of the other members of the band. No offense to those who like them. Maybe that speaks to your use of the mild, non-toxic term "sweetheart", not even close to real verbal abuse.
