Good afternoon Family
Cooled off here yesterday/this mornin 46 when I got up:rolleyes:
I hope the day is bein kind to everyone here today:)

May be an image of 3 people, motorcycle, scooter and text that says 'GROWING OLD IS MANDATORY GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL'

Would I do this today? ^^^^ YOU BET :giggle: I JUST ENJOY INTENSE THINGS:facepalm:

May be an image of 4 people and text that says 'Judy and Jerry Griffin met in 1969 ina 1/2 Volkswagen on the way to Woodstock. (Judy hitchhiking). By the time they got out of the car they had fallen for each other. 50 years, 2 kids and 5 grandkids later, the love affair continues. They never had a photo of their Woodstock adventure until they saw themselves in a Woodstock documentary. They decided to recreate the pose 50 years on. Rock on Judy and Jerry'

I missed all the fun :(

Awww, Jimi 😿

I'll bet you missed out because you were busy with many of your extra responsibilities of late, and extra time in the garden.

I miss everybody when I can't play, like now. Just time to post one song, vote "likes" (which I even had to do on all of the ones that say "video unavailable" from where I sit right now, which comes and goes). And a quick tour of your latest garden page posts, then I'm out.

Be back soon I hope.

XO

My heart when I was young
-Jill Barber

If I could speak to my heart when I was young
I would say to to it: don't get too attached to the difficult times
'Cause those moments go by faster than you think
And you're stronger than you know, and your heart changes
Your heart changes language and it changes its ideas
And when you set it apart, it breaks, it mends

Have faith and patience
To your heart you will say: thanks to you, thanks to me, we are never lonely
Heart of my youth, don't worry, you'll know what to do

Your heart knows how to party when your birthday is forgotten
Your heart keeps you company on an afternoon walk
Life doesn't give it everything it wants
But when we love it will smile

Please excuse this. First hearing and seeing this and wanted to share. Kinda intense IMO and will understand if I get No Likes.

Watch The World Burn....by Falling In Reverse
Nothing to excuse. Our arts will reflect our times, and those who want to criticize or censor the art won't lift a finger to mitigate the forces that foster these expressions. That's a manifestation of that "passive aggression" Radke mentions in his lyrics.

"I'm like a shot of adrenaline, mixed with some Ritalin"

I wonder if he was made to take Ritalin growing up. I've known so many who were messed up and always angry after taking it throughout childhood, though they seem to settle down some as they grow older.

As for what the industry does to artists, also in these lyrics, have seen it too, over and over again. They send out scouts to find out what people love in the local music scenes, sign the artists to label contracts and immediately start pressuring them to change, to turn their backs on what made them successful, to sound more mainstream.

Good post. I enjoyed that.

Evil Woman- ELO
No Woman no Cry
-Bob Marley

Many have believed this to be a misogynistic song, along the lines of "no woman, no crime" or "cherchez la femme", so here are the lyrics of Marley's song of comforting:

No woman, no cry

'Cause, I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
Oba, observing the hypocrites, yeah
Mingle with the good people we meet, yeah
Good friends we have had, oh good friends we've lost along the way, yeah
In this bright future you can't forget your past
So dry your tears I say, yeah

No woman, no cry
No woman, no cry, eh, yeah
Little darling don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry

Eh, said, said, said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown, yeah
And then Georgie would make the fire light, I say
A log wood burning through the night
Then we would cook corn meal porridge, I say
Of which I'll share with you, yeah
My feet is my only carriage
And so I've got to push on through
But while I'm gone

Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright

So no woman, no cry
No woman, no cry, I say
Oh little, oh little darling, don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry, eh

No woman, no woman, no woman, no cry
No woman, no cry
One more time I've got to say
Oh little, little darling, please don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry
