You're keeping me on my toes with a brisk game, Jimi. Love it.

Okay this song had some controversy I know. I saw Sinead O'Connor debut it on the late show, but I really don't remember her tearing up a picture of the pope or anything like that. I just remember the host (Letterman?) coming out and saying "that was beautiful". And it is a beautiful song.

This is to mother you

I'm starting to fizzle. Got up early today to run errands, only got some of them done. I'm ready to occupy my big chair with a cup of mint tea.

It looks to me like the number of songs about mothers in the great global song book testify to Her prominent place in our conscious minds: nations as the motherlands of people, nature as mother of all things living, Earth as our mother, and of course a mother's love and enduring influence on her children.

I can think of fifteen more, but I'm cutting out with a 13 minute beast of a beautiful long groove.

Thank you for a great game Jimi and Sarah.

Happy mothers day to all our dear moms in the forum.

Tri Tip from last night. This was one of my best cooks. I had it on the pellet grill for about an hour @250F until it reached 125F internal. Then I turned up the heat to 600F to get my grill grates nice an hot for a reverse sear.

Wifey loved it and that's what counts!

Stay Hydrated for Heart Health

By Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, MDs

In the 2018 Marvel movie “Aquaman,” Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) learns that he is heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and realizes how he's been left high and dry by his land-locked life. He must take his rightful place as protector of the deep and savior of the world.

Well, water can do a lot for a person. A study in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology found a correlation between dehydration, thickening of the blood and damage to the arteries, and the development of coronary artery disease.

Special: 3 Foods That Fight Memory Loss

In 2011, a study in the journal Nutrition Reviews outlined how drinking enough water helps protect your brain, kidneys, heart, and skin. A paper presented at the 2018 American Physiological Society revealed that making sure you get enough water when exercising lets older adults gain the full cognitive benefits of physical activity.

Unfortunately, although American men and women drink a good dose of liquids every day, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention only about one-third of it is plain water. A lot is from sugar-added and artificially sweetened beverages — not healthy choices, and not as thirst-quenching.

So how much water is enough?

First, never let yourself get thirsty, especially when exercising. Dehydration is a major source of fatigue. Aim for around 91 (women) to 125 (men) ounces of water daily, and more if you’re working out or in a hot environment. If you have dark urine, dizziness, cramps, or a headache, drink up.

Drinking enough water to rehydrate reduces your heart rate and increases blood flow in as little as 15 to 20 minutes.
