Back home for a week! Yesterday was the travel day from hell. 6AM flight from Amarillo to Dallas didn't take off until 8AM which meant I missed my connecting flight to Fresno (home airport). :mad: Ended up having to fly to Phoenix from Dallas then to Fresno from Phoenix. 6 hour layover in Dallas and 4 hour layover in Phoenix. :mad::mad: I should have been home around noon, instead I got home at 11:15PM. :mad::mad::mad:

T minus 34 days and counting... :D:D:D

Jimi, I'm sorry you're going through all this.

I notice, too, that VU is a fickle site. It may be because it is hosted in another country, or because of security measures. I really have no idea. I know more about my computer, and almost nothing about website accessibility. I use a VPN, which may have something to do with why I have to click multiple times from an email notification link before the VU site will finally load.

What browser do you use? Maybe you could try a different browser. Brave is the one I like, but for my privacy email accounts I use Epic Privacy browser, the one that includes a VPN, which is where I have difficulty getting VU to load. Some days when it just won't load, I go to my Brave browser and launch it there without issues. If you use more than one browser, you want to set up each one to clear temporary files each time you exit. Finally, any browser that comes with a Windows operating system is to be avoided. You can't get rid of the Edge browser, but you can get a better browser and disable Edge.

I find that my computer is a demanding little pet, so I practice daily maintenance. If you don't already, every day when you shut down your computer you should first clean out your cookies and cache files, and delete your temporary internet files. Snap was suggesting you run malawarebytes. I don't use that, but I use an anti-virus that's always running, and it jumps up and blocks sites that are dangerous. I think some of the anti-virus programs you can get for free are malware themselves, so if you don't have one, and want suggestions, ask Snap what she uses, or search reviews of them on Tech Republic or one of those tech help sites.

Most of the time I feel like I don't use the computer. It uses me, but as with many bad relationships, I'd be lost without it.

I think it's google, I haveta shut off to find out. I have very very little computer knowledge, I was way before their time :facepalm: , so I have no idea how to even change browsers or disable one:(, I am very weak in that field, to say the least. I truly wish I had that knowledge.

When I had windows 10 5150 was kind enough to show me how to clean the catch but on 11 I tried to but it's different, or I did something wrong, was prolly me:facepalm:

Yes sometimes I have trouble with the VU site, seems to be working fine for me for now, but sometimes things do load slowly. My windows 7 computer crashed a few years ago and my BIL collects and fixes computers, gave me an HP with windows 10 . It has Edge as the browser, but I like Firefox browser so my BIL loaded that for me. He didn't disable the Edge, it is in my lower tray, I only click onto Firefox icon in the lower tray when I access the internet. I use Malwarebytes once a week, yes it still protects me from sites that are bad, but I do a scan once a week like my BIL told me to do.
They have a pay service too, but I just use the free one, even though it will ask me daily to pay for the upgraded version, annoying, but I stick with the free version.

So many options I don't have a clue of what to do.
A quick question, if I change brosers will I be able to get to all the same sites I can go to now?

I will try to get @5150sick and @Vape Fan and see if they can help you Jimi- they are very good with computers and will be able to help you. I don't know what is the best option for you.
