I hate havin to be MIA again but started out yesterday tryin to play beat the clock (tryin to get a crop of green beans yet this year to can), dug all my taders out, 4 wagon loads of them (I'll put pic's on later or tomorrow when I fully recover) it was a cooker but temp dropped to 96 so I stupidly went for it. This mornin I started diggin the area, planted beans and fenced it all in. I think I am just gonna curl up in a corner and take a snooze. Two full days with a pitch fork, yup, gonna pay for this tomorrow:facepalm:
I sure did miss everyone here and playin the game:( but it had to be done. I always wondered just how many quarts of green beans we ate a year so I sorta figured it out, 2 years ago we canned 128 quarts, we ran out last winter/spring (I think it was about March) so I figure for a 12 month period aprox. 84 quarts.
I might be wrong on the figures.:rolleyes:
