You've been posting about how childhood and youth are times and places we get homesick for. That pic is perfect. I laid eyes on it and remembered how my brothers and I had impromptu slumber parties with our friends on hot summer nights when the grass was soft and green. We'd put up our little pup tents under the trees, spread quilts on the grass. Mom & dad would bring out hot dogs, and sit in the porch swing for a while, before trusting all would be well.

Sleeping outside was glorious, the feel of the earth under foot, the stars above, the fragrance of the air, lightning bugs sometimes.

Thank you for that image.
We used to sleep outside a lot too as kids, well I never grew up cause I did up until about the age of 50, but anyway I have so many good memories, thank you for bringin it up, it went right by me last night

A long while ago, went camping, I tried and tried to tell the males....we shouldn't put up our tents so close to the bank of the stream, lol, they didn't listen and I had to pay the price because of them being so stubborn :teehee:

It started to down pour in the wee early morning, it was still dark out, yup, water started to get inside the tents, everything got soaked. What a way to wake up all wet. Yeah, I did say ..... tried telling ya'all, that's all I said. We started a fire to get everything dry, it turned out to be a fun weekend.

If I were going to run my mouth, I would say it's good to be tired and sleepy when the sun goes down. Our caveman selves rose with the sun, and slept after sundown. It's how we kept our circadian rhythm happy.

I hope you're continuing to feel better and better each day.
