Ok on a serious note, did anyone see the news today?
If so did you see how prices of veggies are goin up by 38% nationally?
I didn't catch their Lying excuses for this and was wonderin if anyone else caught it.

The lie is that it's because of climate change. They use that for everything.

I would say it's true that a contributing factor is the loss of harvest pickers who have self deported out of fear. That's shame. I've never known a native US born person who is willing to live as a nomad, own practically nothing, to follow the harvests in their seasons. Their kids get behind in school. Fortunately many schools who have the children of migrant workers will offer tutoring to get the kids caught up.

The lucky pickers, diligent savers, have been able to escape the harvests and open up great restaurants and other kinds of businesses.

It's a terrible loss. We owed those pickers a lot, in terms of cheap, plentiful produce in the markets. It's an irony that the evil, violent, criminal elements will fight to stay here, while the humble hard workers think they'd better get out. Growers should have been given the opportunity to give those workers some kind of paper or punch cards that would reassure the workers they wouldn't be kicked out of the country,

It may get worse. I only see a few jaw dropping examples: organic apricots 18.00/pound, organic red plums 10.00/pound, but organic nectarines are still 2.25/pound, organic strawberries 3.49/pound, organic bananas 1.49/bunch. 3 lb. bag organic apples 6.00. I like the 16 oz. organic raw veggie tray with the little bowl of ranch in the center, for snacking at my desk. That's 4.88 currently. I've seen it higher. Organic iceberg lettuce is still 2.49 a head, for which reason it's always sold out.

Tariffs on Mexican imports may have something to do with it. I'm not sure. There are some tariff exemptions extended to all the tariff countries.

I look for it to get much worse, for one the greed is out of control, and just starting and the rest you pretty much covered

Ok I am gonna step on my own toes here maybe, my thoughts on these tariffs are they are a great idea IF they would of imposed them back in the late 80's when the rich thought that had to outsource all the jobs to all these other countries, it would of gave American business's a better chance,

Started out only changing the hummer food every three days, now it is everyday filling two hummer feeders. It hasn't been like this for the last three years, so good to have them back.

Finally had a chance to catch one on the swing i made for the hummers 1000015932.jpg
Made with paracord wrapped around a straw; the straw is where the hummer is sitting
These pics are not too well, have to hurry to get the pic as they could fly off. Caught two on this feeder 1000015935.jpg and one guarding the other feeder 1000015939.jpg
The best I could do in counting them were 10 flying around, but could have been more, really hard to count they are so fast.
