We have an old house, 100 years+, old houses usually have their share of spiders, our has an extra helpin of them.
For the longest time we had sorta a pact with the spiders her we didn't kill them and they didn't bite us, this agreement went on for many many years TILL...one smartazz spider decided to break the treaty and have lunch on my wrist.
That was a week ago and I didn't see which Smartie bit me cause I was asleep so I have blasted 3 already today (it's gettin cooler here and cooler nights.

What did you blast them with? I use air freshener spray. I don't ever use the air freshener spray as an air freshener. I'd rather open the front and back windows for a little cross draft if, say, the house smells like fried onions. The spray is only for insects. It stupefies them, and they're not going to last long after a good soaking.

I use a shoe, my hand. or anything close. Yesterday I made a spider patrol and nailed 3 good sizers. I hate breakin the treaty, prolly get bit a lot now. The other day when one got me in my sleep it was the first bite I have had here in 20 years.

It's gettin a bit better I can wear my glasses today and the swellin is down most of the way. I have never in my life had a head hit that hard. Thank you for asking my friend:hug:

Where in Texas is your SIL moving? Some areas are more mild than south Texas where I am. West Texas, where the Davis Mountains are, can be very pleasant. It's 79 degrees in El Paso right now. Up in the panhandle, much further north than where I am, it's fall. It's 66 degrees right now in Amarillo.

As the saying goes, Texas is a big country.

Glad to know your swelling is mostly reduced. Keep taking it easy and getting plenty of rest.

Wow didn't know there was that big of a variance in temps there. She lives in Abilene, her daughter lives there with her grands. She moved down there a year ago and didn't like the heat/desert so she came back but now she's gonna try it again basically to be with her daughter and her kids.

Yah, Abilene is west of Fort Worth, which is fairly far northwest of where I am, but I lived in Dallas for a long time. The weather there is about like it is here, except it gets up to 10 degrees hotter in summer, and up to 10 degrees colder in winter.

But everything is variable. Right now it's 91 here in SA, 81 in Abilene.
