Yesterday, was on our home driving on the highway and freaking oh my gaah!!!! Seven doggies were about to cross the 4 lane higway!! We couldn't stop right away, so we turned onto the south bound highway and back on north bound. While doing this, the black doggie did go onto the north bound, ohhh noooooo!! Thankfully he did not get hit. We pulled over, called the humane shelter, they do not do rescues, they said call the sheriff, I called the sheriff. I got out of vehicle, five of the doggies did run down the hill, while two of the doggies stayed with me.

I just petted them, the big black doggie gave me kisses, the big white doggie laid down and I scratched her belly, than the black one did the same and I was petting both tummies.

Thank goodness, while we waited for the sheriff, the owner drove up behind us, him and his two children. The dad was like WTF!! The doggies traveled two or so miles from their home. Dad and children were in a smaller vehicle and no way to put all seven doggies in there. The sheriff finally showed up, but he was no help. As he couldn't put any doggies in his patrol vehicle.

We decided to put the two in our vehicle and dad would go get his other vehicle. The sheriff would stay as long as he was able. Than, I came up with an idea. Dad put these two in your car and we will wait for you to return with other bigger vehicle. The two children were so so so worried, I told them not to worry, we will not let anything happen to the your five doggies, we are going to wait here to make sure NONE of them go onto the highway.

They left, sheriff stayed for a bit than he had to take off. I'd say 15 to 20 minutes later dad and children were back, but they had to park about a half mile away and walk the distance to their seven doggies. Oh boy, lol, the five doggies were so excited when they saw the children, all their tails wagging, jumping up on the two children, lol, almost knocked them down, it was funny and cute, it's too bad I didn't video the reunion of the them. Doggies, the two boys were so very happy.

They, dad, boys and all the doggies started to walk back. We stayed on the side and slowly drove to the street they parked on, just to make sure not one doggie decide to go astray and head towards highway, thankfully, none did so. Turned onto the road and saw all doggies and boys were safely in their vehicle. Also, wanted to make sure dad didn't need to put a doggie or two in our vehicle.

It was just so cute and heart warming when the doggies saw the boys. Talk about having big ol' grins from ear to ear :) :inlove:
