Got up this mornin and it was too wet to do anything in the garden and such a beautiful day that we decided to go foraging for mushrooms and any other thing we could find. So I slapped on the ole knee braces and away we went. It's early here for morels but ole eagle eye Jean found a couple, I found a young chicken (chicken of the woods mushroom) that I landmarked to come back when it's mature. Seen a couple that I couldn't definitely identify so left those be. We were lookin on public property which looked like a troop went through before we got there, (the property we used to forage on was sold 2 years ago:(. We did get a nice walk and got to see some nature. I walked up on a big snake sunning himself that I just had to pick up and check him out. Also found a tortuse several hummers lots of bumble bees, good to see those and there was a turtle in the creek, yes I had to pick it up too, I am just like a big kid in the woods. but all and all we had a good day, just wish we'd of took time to eat before we went.

Good to hear you and Jean had a great walk about in nature. Very good memories you two made together :inlove: and I hope there shall be more days like this one: as that crumpy old black cloud was not around you two :)

As for my day....it was one of those days things were just not going so well, lol. As I cleaned the kitchen, took trash out of the big bin to dump smaller trash bins into the trash bag, the bottom ripped out because of glass I broke a week ago, a lot of vacuum stuff came out, had to but the ripped trash bag into a bigger trash bag, well, that was a lot of fun, lol. Finally, got it done, decided to mix an older dandelion powder with new dandelion powder, was shaking it up to mix it altogether and the seal opened up, lol, powder every where in the clean kitchen, lol. Vacuumed again, cleaned up the kitchen and vacuumed living room. Later on decided to have a snack, was sitting on the couch and my hand decided not to work and dropped it on the floor, lol, out comes the vacuum again, lol. There were a couple of smaller things that happened, but not worth mentioning.
Other than all this it is was a good day, as I didn't get any scratches from any kitties :) :bliss:
